How much is PPF on a BMW M5?
Partial Front starts at $850, Full Front at $1,550, the Track Package at $1,900 and Full Vehicle at $4,000, all in LLumar Platinum. They’re starting prices: the M5 is a long, wide car with sculpted panels, so the final figure depends on which M5 it is, how much of it you cover and the state of the paint.
| Package | Coverage on an M5 | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | The whole bumper, a front strip of hood and fenders, lamps and mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Whole hood, both front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front plus the A-pillars, part of the roof and the side skirts | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All of the M5’s paint, plus headlights | $4,000 |
Templates are cut by software for the model, edges are wrapped where the panel allows, and if a bumper needs a relief cut the shop shows you where before it’s made. On the warranty side, LLumar gives Platinum a 10-year limited warranty; yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling are the defects the shop’s published terms name.
What makes the 2025 M5’s front end a chip target?
Width and a low front. BMW Canada’s 2025 M5 release says the body sides and wheel arches were redesigned for the M5, adding 75 mm of width at the front wheels and 48 mm at the rear compared with a regular 5 Series. The arches stand out from the body, and they catch what the front tires throw up.
BMW also paints more of the car in body colour: the triangular side air intakes beside the grille and the side skirts low down are both painted, and the front and rear aprons extend downward. On a car this low and this wide, the bumper, the arch flares and the front of the skirts take the most stones. The Full Front takes in the front arches along with the fenders, and the Track Package carries film down the length of the skirts.
The grille centre holds the sensors for BMW’s driver assistance systems. It’s high-gloss black trim, not paint, so it isn’t part of any package; ask before film goes anywhere near it.
What about the 2018 to 2024 M5?
The same packages fit the earlier car, but its front end is laid out differently. BMW’s 2021 M5 Competition release describes a large hexagonal centre intake that houses the oil cooler and the radar sensor for Active Cruise Control. If your car has that system, mention it, so the bumper piece is planned around the radar’s spot.
On the Competition models of those years, BMW finished the kidney grille surround, the mesh in the M gills, the mirror caps and the boot spoiler in high-gloss black. Mirrors are part of every package, so say what finish your caps have when you ask for a price.
Should a Frozen M5 get matte film?
Yes. Clear gloss film would put a shine on a matte finish, so a Frozen M5 gets LLumar Platinum Matte, which keeps the paint flat and self-heals like the gloss version. BMW added the matte Frozen Bluestone metallic to the M5 Competition’s BMW Individual colours for 2021, and the 2025 M5 lists a matte Frozen Deep Grey alongside Isle of Man Green and Marina Bay Blue.
Matte film works the other way too: on a gloss M5 it turns the paint satin, a lower-sheen look without a respray. The matte PPF page shows how it’s fitted and what it costs.
How do you book PPF for an M5 in Langley?
Send the model year, sedan or Touring, the paint name and which package you’re considering. You’ll get a price for that car, along with how long it will be in the shop.
Plan on one day for the Partial Front, one to two for the Full Front or Track Package, and three to five for the full car. The shop asks you to wait a week before the first wash (LLumar’s FAQ says three days), and to keep pressure nozzles off the film edges after that. Details of what the Track Package adds are on its own page, and M5 window tint can be booked into the same stay. Start with the M5 PPF quote form or call 604 534 6433.
