What does PPF cost on a BMW X7?
Starting prices for the four LLumar Platinum packages run from $850 (Partial Front) to $4,000 (Full Vehicle), with $1,550 and $1,900 in between. Those are the shop’s starting prices; the X7’s size, an M Sport body kit or paint that needs correcting first can lift the final quote.

How does the X7’s size change a PPF quote?
Bigger panels take more film and more time. BMW Canada’s 2019 X7 launch release gives the X7 as 5,151 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall, with “the largest kidney grill ever designed for a BMW model” at the front. BMW’s 2021 product guide lists 5,165 mm and an 888 mm front overhang.
A tall, wide nose puts a large area of paint facing the road, and the hood alone is a big sheet of film on a vehicle this size. That’s why the shop quotes the X7 from its own patterns rather than assuming the starting price. On long highway runs, the Track Package adds the rockers behind the front wheels; Track Package PPF shows that coverage.
What changed at the front of the 2023 X7?
Almost everything a front package covers. BMW’s 2023 X7 release says split headlight units were used “for the first time on any BMW”: slim daytime lights mounted high, and the low and high beams in separate modules lower in the fascia.
The same release describes a front fascia finished in body colour with integrated air curtains, and “large inlays in satin aluminum” bordering the lower air intake. The illuminated kidney grille is optional on the xDrive40i and standard on the M60i. With the M Sport Package, the front and rear aprons and the side skirts get an M-specific design. A 2019 to 2022 X7 and a 2023 or later one therefore need different bumper and headlight patterns, so give the model year when you ask.
Which X7 paints most need film?
Every X7 benefits, but the special-order and matte finishes most of all. BMW lists 14 colours for the 2023 X7, including BMW Individual Frozen Pure Grey metallic, and says “around 40 BMW Individual colours” can be ordered on request, “plus non-metallic or matte finishes”, applied by hand.
The Dark Shadow Edition, built in a run of about 500, wore Frozen Arctic Grey metallic with what BMW calls “matt shimmering body surfaces”. With film on the front, the stones hit the film rather than the hand-applied paint. Gloss Platinum suits gloss paint; on a frozen or matte X7, ask for Platinum Matte so the finish stays flat.
Where are the X7’s sensors and cameras?
Front, rear and in the mirrors. The 2019 release says Park Distance Control “includes sensors at the front and rear of the vehicle”, and the 2023 release says the Remote Theft Recorder stores video from “the cameras at the front and rear of the new BMW X7 and on its exterior mirrors”.
The mirror housings are in every package, so the film is cut to sit around the mirror cameras, and the bumper patterns leave each sensor clear. Should a bumper curve need a relief cut, you’re shown its position first.
How do you book X7 PPF in Langley?
Send the year, model (xDrive40i, M60i or an earlier xDrive50i or M50i), colour and whether it has the M Sport Package. Expect a starting figure back, a paint inspection when the X7 arrives, and a word on any correction before work begins.
