How much is PPF on a Ford Bronco?

Bronco PPF has four price points to start from in LLumar Platinum: $850, then $1,550, $1,900 and finally $4,000. On this truck they’re floors, not fixed prices: the square nose, tall fenders and flares are measured from your truck, and a bigger or busier front end can land above the opening figure.

Package What it covers on a Bronco From
Partial Front Painted bumper faces, the first stretch of hood and fender, headlamps, mirror housings $850
Full Front The whole hood and both front fenders, painted bumper surfaces, headlights, mirrors $1,550
Track Package Full Front’s panels plus the windshield posts, a strip along the roof’s leading edge and both rockers $1,900
Full Vehicle Every painted surface, doors and tailgate included, plus headlights $4,000

Platinum heals light scratches with heat. Each piece comes off a software template sized for the Bronco and has its edges tucked under wherever the panel’s shape lets it. If the squared-off Bronco bumper calls for a relief cut anywhere, you’ll see the spot marked before it’s cut. LLumar warrants Platinum for 10 years on a limited basis, and the shop publishes yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling as what that warranty answers for. Weighing a front package against the whole truck is covered in full front vs full body PPF.

Where does Ford’s own service data show Bronco paint wearing?

Away from the nose, in places where the truck’s own parts rub. Ford has issued three bulletins for paint marked by Bronco hardware:

Ford bulletin Model years Paint affected
TSB 24-2040 2021–2024 Rear quarter panel, where the soft top’s rear window can make contact in extreme off-road driving
TSB 25-2551 2021–2025 Top inner edge of the tailgate, where dirt builds up under the rear window seal
TSB 23-2340 2021–2022 The sport tube’s paint, scratched by the soft top frame as it opens and closes

The tailgate fix is the telling one. After returning the edge to specification, the dealer applies clear Mylar tape so the seal can’t wear the paint again, which is the same idea as film. If the back of your truck is part of the plan, ask for that edge to be included. Ford handles the soft-top rub by modifying the rear window and the sport tube by fitting protective plates, so have those repairs done before film goes on the panels next to them.

What on a Bronco’s fenders and nose does the film have to clear?

Bolt-on hardware, separate flares and, on some trucks, a radar module. Each one changes the pattern.

The front fenders carry trail sights that double as grab handles. Ford’s SSM 51118 replaced rusted fasteners on them for some 2022 trucks built in February and March 2022. The film is cut around each sight rather than over it.

The fender flares are separate parts, and the Sasquatch Package includes high-clearance flares. Recall 26V-403 covers 2022 to 2026 Broncos whose flares may not be properly secured, so if yours is booked for it, have the dealer finish before the paint around the flares is filmed.

At the front, adaptive cruise depends on a radar module. Transport Canada recall 2021-770 sent some 2021 Broncos back to dealers to have that module’s angle reset. Say whether your truck has adaptive cruise when you ask, so the front pattern accounts for it.

Which Bronco colours and tops carry the most paint value?

The extra-cost ones. Ford Canada’s 2026 extra-cost paints include Shelter Green Metallic, Marsh Grey and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Its model lineup also paints some tops: the Outer Banks can have one in body colour, and the Heritage Edition’s comes in Oxford White.

A painted top is paint like any other panel, and the Track Package’s partial roof coverage can reach it. Unpainted armour is a different matter: Ford lists full-vehicle steel bash plates on the Badlands and heavy-duty ones on the Raptor, so on those trucks the film budget goes to the painted panels above them. Platinum Matte is available on every package if you’d like a gloss colour turned satin.

How do you book Bronco PPF in Langley?

For a quote, give the shop your Bronco’s year, door count, trim, top and colour, and list anything aftermarket, such as a replacement bumper, wider flares or a light bar. The shop checks the paint, decontaminates and corrects it where needed, and prices your package.

Partial Front is normally a one-day visit. Full Front and Track jobs take one to two days; filming every panel takes three to five. Don’t wash the Bronco for the first week; after that, trail mud should be rinsed off with a hand wash or at a touchless bay, wand held well back from any film edge, and brush washes skipped entirely. Request a price on the Bronco PPF quote form. For the glass, see Bronco window tint, and for a slicker surface over the film, Bronco ceramic coating.

Questions about ford Bronco PPF

01Is PPF worth it on a Bronco that goes off-road?

Wherever it's applied, the film catches tire-thrown grit and trail brush before they reach paint, and its top coat heals light scuffs with heat. Bare panels get nothing, so match the package to where your Bronco takes hits.

02Can film go on a Bronco's steel bumper or bash plates?

PPF is made for painted surfaces. Steel bumpers and bash plates, like the Badlands' full-vehicle plates, aren't what the packages are priced around, so the film goes on the painted panels around them.

03Can I take the doors off after PPF is fitted?

Yes. The film is applied panel by panel and finished at the door edges, so each door comes off carrying its own film. Mention removable-door use when you book.

04Does matte PPF work on a Bronco?

Yes. Platinum Matte, LLumar's satin version, flattens the shine of a gloss Bronco while protecting it. Ask for a matte price next to the gloss one on your quote; the colour stays and only the sheen changes.
