What does PPF cost on a Ford Mustang?

Four LLumar Platinum packages, from $850 to $4,000 as starting prices. The final figure depends on the trim, the panels involved and the state of the paint, so the shop confirms it once it has seen the car.

Package on a Mustang Film covers From
Partial Front Whole front bumper, the leading edge of the hood and fenders, headlamps, mirrors $850
Full Front The complete hood, both fenders, bumper, headlamps and mirrors $1,550
Track Package Full Front plus windshield pillars, front of the roof and the rockers $1,900
Full Vehicle All painted surfaces, decklid and painted spoiler included, plus headlamps $4,000

Platinum self-heals light swirls with heat, is cut from software templates and is wrapped around panel edges where the shape allows. If the Mustang’s bumper needs a relief cut, its position is agreed with you beforehand. Its decade-long limited warranty comes from LLumar; on the shop’s published terms it covers yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. For lapping days, the track day protection page sets out what else is worth covering.

Which Mustang trims have the busiest front ends?

The Dark Horse models, then the GT. Ford Canada’s 2026 trim pages list these differences, and each vent, grille opening or pin is one more edge the film has to be trimmed around and sealed:

2026 trim Hood Front fascia Rear spoiler
EcoBoost Fastback No vents listed No unique grilles listed Wedge decklid spoiler or spoiler delete, both optional
GT and GT Premium Hood vents No unique grilles listed Wedge decklid spoiler, raised performance wing or spoiler delete
Dark Horse Hood vents Unique lower and outboard grilles, painted upper grille with pony badge Performance spoiler painted Tarnish Dark
Dark Horse SC Unique hood with hood pins, carbon fibre hood vent Carbon fibre exterior package optional Black rear spoiler and a rear diffuser

None of this changes the package price on its own; it changes the template and the fitting time. Ford’s Dark Horse Handling Package also adds a front aero splitter, so tell the shop if your car has it.

Can PPF go over the Mustang’s factory stripes?

Yes, but tell the shop what the stripe is made of first. Ford offers Over-the-Top Racing Stripes on the 2026 EcoBoost and GT in three versions: gloss grey with semi-gloss black, matte black with a red accent, and an opacity fade. The Dark Horse goes further, with a choice of vinyl or painted hood-and-accent stripes in Tarnished Dark and black.

A painted stripe is part of the finish, so it’s filmed like the rest of the panel. A vinyl stripe is a film of its own, with edges and a sheen that clear film sits on top of. Gloss PPF over a matte or semi-gloss stripe gives it a shine it didn’t have, while Platinum Matte keeps it low but makes the gloss paint beside it satin. Have the shop look at your stripes before anything is cut, so the finish you end up with is the one you chose.

Which Mustang paints are worth protecting first?

The extra-cost colours. Ford Canada marks Orange Fury Metallic Tri-coat and Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat as extra-cost 2026 options, along with Blue Ember on the Dark Horse and Argon Blue, which Ford calls exclusive to the Dark Horse SC.

A tri-coat or tinted clearcoat is applied in more than one layer, so a chip is harder to touch up without it showing. A Mustang’s long hood and low nose meet whatever the car ahead throws back, and Full Front puts film across the whole of that hood rather than its leading edge. If you’d prefer a stealthier look, stealth versus gloss PPF compares the two finishes.

How do you book Mustang PPF in Langley?

Tell the shop the year, trim, colour and stripe option, and mention a Handling Package, a raised wing or any aftermarket aero. Pick a package or ask for a recommendation. Booking time follows the package, from a single day for Partial Front to as many as five for the full car.

Hold off washing for the first week. After that, wash it by hand or touchless, never through brushes, and point the pressure wand away from where the film ends. Start with the Mustang PPF quote form. For the glass, see Ford Mustang window tint; a Mustang ceramic coating can go over the film afterwards.

Questions about ford Mustang PPF

01Is the Track Package worth it on a Mustang that never sees a track?

It can be. It adds the windshield pillars, the leading edge of the roof and the rockers to Full Front. The shop sells it for gravel roads as much as for lapping days.

02Are the Mustang's headlights covered?

Yes. Every package, Partial Front included, puts film over the headlamps as well as the painted panels.

03How long is a Mustang in the shop for PPF?

Plan on one day for Partial Front, a day or two for Full Front or Track, and up to five for full coverage. Paint is decontaminated, and corrected if needed, before any film goes on.

04Can PPF give a gloss Mustang a satin finish?

Yes. LLumar Platinum Matte turns gloss paint satin while protecting it, on any Mustang colour. Check a sample against your own paint first.
