What does PPF cost on a Super Duty?
The four LLumar Platinum packages open at $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000, and a Super Duty can come in above them. A Super Duty’s hood and fenders are big panels, so the final figure is set once the shop has seen the trim, cab and paint.
| Package on a Super Duty | Film goes on | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | The bumper where it’s painted, the front of the hood and fenders, headlamps, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | The whole hood, both front fenders, the painted bumper, headlamps, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front plus windshield pillars, the front of the roof and the rockers below the doors | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted panel on the cab and box, plus headlamps | $4,000 |
The film heals light marks with warmth and is cut by software from a pattern for the truck; edges are wrapped round wherever the panel shape lets them. LLumar provides the 10-year limited warranty. For pickups in general, including which package suits gravel, see PPF for trucks.
How much of a Super Duty’s front end is paint?
Less than you might think on some trims. Ford Canada’s 2027 F-250 pages list the bumpers like this, and paint protection film is made for painted surfaces:
| 2027 trim | Front and rear bumpers as Ford lists them |
|---|---|
| XL | Black painted steel; chrome steel or body colour optional |
| XLT | Chrome steel, grained top cover, black lower air dam |
| Lariat | Chrome steel; body colour optional |
| King Ranch | Accent body colour; chrome steel optional |
| Platinum | Body colour |
So the XL’s painted steel bumper, the King Ranch’s accent bumper and the Platinum’s body-colour one are all film surfaces. On an XLT or Lariat with chrome steel, plus a grained top cover and a black air dam that aren’t painted either, the film’s value moves up to the hood leading edge and the fenders. Tell the shop which bumper your truck has, since the optional ones change the pattern.
Which Super Duty paints are worth covering first?
The extra-cost ones and the two-tone King Ranch. Ford Canada’s 2027 colour list marks Glacier Grey Metallic Tri-Coat, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat and Marsh Grey as extra-cost, and names Neptune Blue and Iconic Silver Metallic as new colours this year.
A tri-coat is laid down in layers, which makes a chip harder to repair without a visible patch. The King Ranch adds a two-tone lower accent paint with accent-colour wheel-lip mouldings on single-rear-wheel trucks, putting a second colour low on the body where tire spray and stones land. Covering it means the Track Package’s rockers or the Full Vehicle package, so ask for both prices.
What on a Super Duty’s nose does the film work around?
The sensors and camera, plus whatever headlamps the trim carries. Ford lists front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera as standard on the 2027 Platinum, so its bumper pattern has to allow for them. Headlamps differ too: quad halogen as standard on the XL and XLT, LED reflector on the Lariat and King Ranch, LED projector on the Platinum, and every package puts film over whichever ones you have.
For trucks that see logging roads or gravel shoulders, off-road protection covers what else to think about.
How do you book Super Duty PPF in Langley?
Send the year, series (F-250, F-350 or F-450), trim, cab, colour and the bumper type, and mention which tow mirrors it has, a Tremor package or any aftermarket steel. Time in the shop runs from a day for the smallest package to most of a week for the whole truck, and the paint is cleaned, and corrected if needed, before film goes on.
Leave the truck unwashed for its first week, then stick to hand or touchless washes and keep the wand clear of where the film stops. Start on the Super Duty PPF quote form. For the glass, see Super Duty window tint; for the bright trim, the Super Duty chrome delete.
