What does Super Duty window tint cost?
From $240 for a SuperCab or crew cab: both rear door windows and the back glass, whether that’s a fixed pane or a slider. It’s the shop’s pickup rear package in LLumar ATC, with IRX or AIR ceramic quoted on top.
| Super Duty glass | From |
|---|---|
| Rear door windows and back glass (SuperCab or crew cab) | $240 |
| The same glass in IRX or AIR ceramic | Quoted per package |
| Regular cab back glass | Quoted per truck |
| Twin-panel moonroof (crew cab option) | Quoted per truck |
| Front doors | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, from the inside | $200, not road-legal in BC |
The film is plotter-cut to the year, make and model, then heat-shrunk and fitted by hand without a blade touching the glass or trim. Both halves are covered for life: LLumar warrants the film itself and the shop stands behind its installation. Prices for every class are laid out on the window tint prices page.
Which back window does your 2027 Super Duty have?
It’s set by the trim. Ford Canada’s 2027 F-250 trim pages list the following; the F-350 and F-450 have pages of their own if you want to check yours:
| 2027 trim | Back window as Ford lists it | Rear privacy glass |
|---|---|---|
| XL | Fixed; power slider for fleet orders | Optional; solar-tinted glass standard |
| XLT | Fixed; fixed with defrost optional | Standard |
| Lariat | Fixed with defrost; power slider with defrost in the Lariat Premium Package | Standard |
| King Ranch | Power sliding | Standard |
| Platinum | Power sliding | Standard |
Each type takes film, and the truck window tint page covers how fixed and sliding back glass are done. A defrosted back window gets its film on the inside face over the grid, which is why any later removal is done with steam, not blades.
Privacy glass changes the result more than the slider does. Film multiplies with the darkness already in the glass, so film passing 35% of the light, laid over glass that passes about a third, leaves roughly 12%. Ford gives no figure for its privacy glass, so look at the back window beside the clear front door glass, or try the tint stacking calculator, before you pick a shade.
Why do a Super Duty’s tow mirrors matter for back-glass tint?
BC’s rule ties back-window film to a pair of outside mirrors, one per side, and a Super Duty carries one on each side. On the 2027 trims Ford lists trailer-tow mirrors, from the XL’s manual telescoping pair up to PowerScope mirrors on the Lariat and Platinum. With those fitted, MVAR s. 7.05(8) lets the rear door glass and back window take any shade, and the rear window mirror rule explains the inspection side of it.
The front doors are another matter. That glass is beside the driver, which puts any film on it outside BC’s rule; on the windshield, only a band within 75 mm of the top is allowed. If you still want them done, the price is $160, and the shop first sets out what it can lead to: a ticket that’s typically $109, and a possible police order to strip the film and put the truck through inspection. Tinting front windows in BC spells out the rest of the rule.
What else on a Super Duty can take film?
The moonroof, and a strip along the top of the windshield. Ford offers a power twin-panel moonroof on 2027 crew cabs from the XLT up; roof glass is priced on its own, and the sunroof tint page explains how. For a windshield strip, note that the Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum list rain-sensing wipers, whose sensor reads through the glass, so mention it when you book.
How do you book Super Duty tint in Langley?
Send the year, trim and cab, say whether the back window is fixed or sliding, and choose ATC, IRX or AIR. Back comes a price for the rear package, the ceramic upgrade if you asked, and the moonroof if it’s part of the job. Book through the Super Duty tint quote form or call 604 534 6433.
