How much does PPF cost on a Lamborghini Urus?
Coverage on a Urus starts at $850 for a Partial Front and $1,550 for a Full Front, with the Track Package from $1,900 and every painted panel from $4,000. Treat those as floors: a Urus is priced from its own pattern, and its size and sculpted panels can lift the figure.
| Package | What it covers | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Full bumper, leading part of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Whole hood, whole front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front plus A-pillars, part of the roof, rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All painted surfaces and the headlights | $4,000 |
The film is LLumar Platinum, a self-healing film whose light scratches fade with warmth. It carries LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty, and the shop’s published terms count yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling among the faults covered. Pieces are cut by software for the model, and edges are folded around each panel where its shape allows. When a bumper needs a relief cut, you’re shown its position before any film is laid.
Where does a Urus pick up stone chips?
Low down and at the front. Lamborghini’s own bulletin L636-A.14.19 asked dealers to fit a stone-guard grille to the bottom of the radiator on 2019 Urus models, “as the coolant radiator lacks in protection against stone chipping”. The painted bumper around that opening faces the same stones, and the guard does nothing for it.
The shape adds to it. Lamborghini calls the Urus “the lowest SUV in its segment” and gives the hood a raised centre peak, per its Urus page, so the nose and that crease sit right in the spray from the car ahead. The Urus S brought a front steel skid plate, new wheel arches and 22 or 23-inch wheels, and the Performante added front air curtains that steer air from the nose to the sides. Wide arches and big tires throw grit up the lower doors, which is why the rocker panels sit in the Track Package.
Fraser Valley winters make this worse. TranBC says highway abrasive can be up to 9.5 mm and that going from 80 to 110 km/h “will almost double the impact energy” (TranBC). Film stops new chips, but chips already in the paint stay visible under it, as whether PPF hides rock chips explains.
What changes on a carbon-hood Urus S or Performante?
The hood is carbon fibre under its paint, so the film treats it like any painted panel, but on 2023 and 2024 cars the hood latch recall should be closed first. Lamborghini describes a “carbon fiber painted hood” on the S, and the Performante’s three headline carbon parts are its bonnet, its roof and its wider wheel arches.
Recall 24V348 covers the “Carbon Hood - Latch Striker” on 2023 to 2024 Urus S and Performante models. Lamborghini’s report says the first sign can be “a misalignment between the hood and fender”, and that dealers will inspect and, if needed, repair the hood or fit a striker support plate. Film edges wrap the hood’s edges, so have that work finished before the Urus comes in. Any carbon left bare rather than painted is a separate question, settled at the quote.
Does a Urus need Full Front or the Track Package?
Full Front suits most road-driven Urus SUVs, because it covers the whole hood and fenders rather than stopping at a line across them. The Track Package suits owners who use the Performante’s Rally mode on gravel or take the car to a circuit, since it adds the rocker panels, A-pillars and the leading edge of the roof.
Lamborghini says the Performante’s Rally setting is meant for “low-grip surfaces”, and its Torsen centre differential helps “particularly on white roads”. Gravel at speed sandblasts the lower body. The Track Package page shows the extra panels, and Full Vehicle is the step after that.
Booking a Urus for paint protection film in Langley
Tell the shop the model year, which Urus it is (base, S, Performante or SE), the paint name and whether it’s matte, and check with the dealer for open recalls. Budget a day for Partial Front coverage; Full Front and the Track Package run one to two days, and a whole-body job three to five. Before any film, the paint is decontaminated, then corrected wherever a defect would otherwise be sealed under it.
Leave the new film unwashed for its first seven days. From then on, wash by hand or touchless, and aim pressure-washer nozzles away from film edges. A coating can go over the film for easier washing, which the Urus ceramic coating page covers. Get a Urus figure through the PPF quote form or call 604 534 6433.
