Porsche Macan PPF in Langley, BC

At a glance

LLumar Platinum PPF on a Porsche Macan runs from $850 for a Partial Front, through $1,550 for the Full Front and $1,900 for the Track Package, to $4,000 for full-body coverage, all as starting prices at Brookswood Tint. The gasoline Macan and the Macan Electric have different noses: on the Electric, the four-point daytime running lights sit up in the front fenders above headlight modules set lower down, so the shop needs to know which Macan you drive.

What does PPF cost for a Porsche Macan?

Prices run from $850 to $4,000 over four LLumar Platinum packages. They’re starting prices, and the final figure moves with the model, its front-end parts and the state of the paint.

Package Panels on a Macan From Usual time
Partial Front Bumper, front portion of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors $850 One day
Full Front Entire hood and front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors $1,550 1 to 2 days
Track Package Full Front, A-pillars, a strip of roof, sills $1,900 1 to 2 days
Full Vehicle All painted panels and the headlights $4,000 3 to 5 days

Platinum is a self-healing film, plotted from software patterns, and its edges are tucked round each panel where the shape allows. Bumpers occasionally need a relief cut; you’re shown where before it’s made. LLumar’s Platinum Gloss is sold under a 10-year limited warranty; the shop’s own published terms list four defects: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.

How is the Macan Electric’s front end laid out?

Low, wide and full of separate pieces. Porsche’s Macan press kit describes front lights “split into two parts”: flat upper units carrying the four-point daytime running lights “embedded in the wings”, Porsche’s word for the front fenders, and main headlight modules “positioned slightly lower in the front end”.

“Air curtains” sit below those modules, and active cooling flaps are built into the front air intakes. The front bumper lip has what Porsche calls a “3D-look surface texture”, and the frunk is opened by a swipe gesture at a sensor Porsche places below the crest. Each of those is something a film pattern either covers, cuts around or leaves alone, so ask the shop to show you its template for your year before the job starts.

For size, the Macan Electric’s technical data gives 4,784 mm of length, 1,938 mm of width without mirrors and a 2,893 mm wheelbase.

What’s different on the gasoline Macan?

It’s the earlier body, still sold new in Canada, with a more conventional nose. Porsche Canada’s model overview fits it with LED headlamps and the Porsche Dynamic Light System, and its Macan page notes that “the wing at the front end is painted in the exterior colour”.

That body-colour wing is a trim piece set low in the front skid plate, in the path of stones thrown up by traffic, and it’s painted like the bumper around it. On the Macan T, that wing is Agate Grey Metallic, a colour Porsche repeats on the side blades, mirrors, roof spoiler and rear script. Those grey parts can be filmed with the front package; say if you want them included. The base gasoline Macan’s side blades are finished in Lava Black with a 3D texture; ask before adding textured parts to a film package.

Does the off-road design package change PPF on a Macan Electric?

It adds painted surfaces low on the car. Porsche offers the package in Vesuvius Grey or body colour, and “the front bumper, side skirts and diffuser panels are then painted accordingly”, per the press kit.

The package also reshapes the front bumper for an approach angle of up to 17.4 degrees and raises ground clearance by 10 mm to 195 mm on air suspension. On the Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S, the off-road front bumper with a Vesuvius Grey inlay is sold on its own too. Painted side skirts are exactly what the Track Package’s sill coverage protects; rocker panel PPF explains that coverage.

Which PPF package should a Macan owner book?

A Macan that commutes on Highway 1 is worth at least the Full Front, so the whole hood and both front fenders are covered instead of a band across them. Partial against Full Front shows where each one stops.

Tell the shop the model year, which Macan it is, its trim and paint colour, and mention the off-road package or any grey or carbon parts. The shop cleans bonded contamination off the paint, and polishes it if needed, before filming. Hold off washing for seven days; from then on, hand or touchless only, with pressure nozzles kept clear of the edges. Phone 604 534 6433 or use the Macan PPF quote form, and Macan window tint has the glass prices.

Questions about porsche Macan PPF

01Does PPF on a Macan Electric cover the daytime running lights in the fenders?

Ask the shop to show you on its pattern. Porsche mounts those four-point lights in the front fenders, apart from the main headlights, so how the film is cut around them depends on the package and model year.

02Is the Partial Front enough on a Macan?

It covers the bumper and the leading part of the hood and fenders, where most stones hit first. The Full Front takes in the whole hood, so there's no film edge partway across it.

03Can PPF go over the Vesuvius Grey parts of the off-road design package?

Yes. Porsche paints the front bumper, side skirts and diffuser panels in that package, so they take film like the rest of the paintwork.

04Where is the frunk sensor on a Macan Electric?

Porsche puts it below the crest on the hood. Point it out when you book, so the film pattern around it is checked before anything is cut.
