Which Macan trim can be blacked out?
Whatever on your Macan isn’t black already: window surrounds, coloured accents, lettering, mirror caps and roof rails. Porsche sets that trim differently on each model, so what’s left to cover depends on yours.
| Macan | Trim Porsche lists | What to photograph for the quote |
|---|---|---|
| Macan (gasoline) | Side blades in Lava Black with a 3D texture; skid-plate wing in body colour | Window surrounds, badges and any bright pieces |
| Macan T (gasoline) | Skid-plate wing, side blades, SportDesign mirrors, roof spoiler and rear lettering in Agate Grey Metallic | The grey accents, if you want them black |
| Macan Electric | Door surrounds and sideblades in up to five designs; roof rails in Black or Silver | Silver rails, window surrounds, badges |
| Macan Turbo (Electric) | Rear lettering, side window surrounds, airblades, rear bumper trim and sideblades in Turbonite; Turbonite roof rails available | The Turbonite pieces |
| Macan GTS (Electric) | Black-painted styling throughout, high-gloss black sideblades | Very little |
The Macan T’s accents come from Porsche Canada, which says the wing in the skid plate “is painted in Agate Grey Metallic to match the side blades, the electrically folding SportDesign exterior mirrors with V-shaped mirror base, the roof spoiler and the lettering on the rear”. The same page pairs them with sports tailpipes in High Gloss Black.
Does a Macan GTS need a chrome delete at all?
Rarely. Porsche’s Macan GTS press kit says its front, side and rear “are all characterised by black-painted styling elements”, with high-gloss black sideblades carrying satin-gloss black “GTS” lettering, satin-gloss black wheel arch trims and a high-gloss black spoiler lip.
The same kit introduced a Sport Design Package for all Macan Electric models, with black decorative inserts, sideblades, wheel arch trims and spoiler lip. That’s the factory route to a darker Macan when you order one. Vinyl gets you close on a Macan you already own, and it can come off again.
Gloss, satin or textured: which black suits a Macan?
Match what Porsche already put on the car. A Macan can carry three or four kinds of black at once, and vinyl that matches its neighbours looks factory.
- High-gloss black sits beside the GTS’s sideblades and spoiler lip and the Macan T’s tailpipes, so gloss vinyl suits pieces near them.
- Satin-gloss black is Porsche’s finish for the GTS wheel arch trims and lettering; satin vinyl is the closer match there.
- Lava Black with 3D texture is the finish Porsche Canada gives the gasoline Macan’s side blades, and one of the sideblade designs on the Electric, per the Macan press kit.
The shop holds 3M and Avery Dennison samples against your trim before you choose. On most SUVs, the shop rates window surrounds as the change with the biggest visual effect; window trim chrome delete covers how that’s done.
What stays uncovered on a Macan?
Lights, cameras and sensors. On a Macan Electric with Porsche’s optional Remote Park Assist and 3D Surround View, four cameras build a 360-degree view, and the “transparent bonnet” view draws on the front and exterior mirror cameras, per the GTS kit. Mirror caps can be wrapped, but the camera lens stays clear.
The frunk opens with a swipe over a sensor “installed below the Porsche crest”, according to the Macan press kit, so the crest area is checked before any vinyl goes near it. The 3D light strip with its Porsche lettering is part of the lamp, not trim; Porsche offers the tail lights with the lettering in Black or Glacier Ice Blue. The shop’s approach to emblems over sensors is on badge blackout.
How do you book a Macan chrome delete in Langley?
Send the year, gasoline or Electric, the model, and close photos of every piece you want black. The quote lists each part that will be covered.
Where a badge, handle or mirror cap can be unclipped, it’s wrapped off the car, which hides the vinyl’s edge. The 3M or Avery Dennison film is covered by a five-year manufacturer warranty under the shop’s published terms, and heat lifts it off later; chrome deletes on leased cars covers lease returns. Ring 604 534 6433, or send the photos with the chrome delete quote form.
