What does PPF cost on a Porsche Panamera?
The four LLumar Platinum packages are priced from $850 up to $4,000. A Panamera is a big car, and its intakes, SportDesign parts and paint condition move the final quote above those starting points.
| Package | From | What it covers on a Panamera | Shop time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Panamera bumper in full; front edge of hood and fenders; lights; mirrors | About a day |
| Full Front | $1,550 | The Panamera’s hood and front fenders entirely, plus bumper, lights, mirrors | One to two days |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front with pillars, a roof strip and the sills | One to two days |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Every painted Panamera panel, with the headlights | Three to five days |
Platinum is a self-healing gloss or matte film, laid from software templates, with its edges wrapped behind the panel where the shape allows. Should a Panamera bumper corner need a relief cut, you’ll see where before it’s made. LLumar’s Platinum Gloss comes with a 10-year limited warranty; on top of the LLumar wording, the shop’s terms cover four defects in a Panamera’s film: it mustn’t yellow, crack, bubble or peel. For how far each package reaches, see Full Front PPF.
Where does a Panamera’s front end take the hits?
Across a wide, intake-heavy nose. Porsche’s third-generation press kit puts the car at 5,052 mm long and 1,937 mm wide, adds “a new, additional air inlet above the number plate holder,” frames the bumper with “large, rectangularly contoured side air intakes,” and makes the front fenders, which Porsche calls wings, “more pronounced” while the hood “appears lower.”
Those raised fenders and the bumper face stones before anything else does. Further back, Porsche says the air outlet in each front fender is now “more strongly flared” and runs on over the flank, which puts another edge in the path of grit coming off the front tires. On a sedan this long, the sills take that same spray for most of the wheelbase, which is why the rocker panel step is worth pricing for daily highway use.
Which Panamera trim is painted, satin or carbon?
It depends on the version and generation. On the third-generation Turbo E-Hybrid, Porsche paints the front bumper in the body colour and uses Turbonite, a warm grey with a bronze undertone, on the side airblades in the front intakes; the optional SportDesign package brings sill trims in Black or Turbonite, and there’s a SportDesign package in carbon with an Aerokit.
The second generation had its own mix. The 2020 press kit gives the GTS grained intakes and side sills in Satin Gloss Black, and describes a Carbon Sport Design package with carbon blades, air outlet trims and diffuser panel. Painted parts take Platinum Gloss as normal; satin trim keeps its look under Platinum Matte, and carbon can be filmed or left as it is.
What must the film leave clear on a Panamera?
Cameras, radar and the moving spoiler. Porsche fits the third-generation car with ParkAssist and a reversing camera as standard, uses a rear radar for Lane Change Assist, and steers the matrix headlights partly from front camera data; the 2020 car offered Night Vision Assist with a thermal imaging camera.
At the back, the third-generation Panamera has an “adaptive extending rear spoiler,” so film on the tailgate has to stop short of anything that moves. Ask how your year’s template handles each sensor opening and the spoiler before the film is cut.
How do you book Panamera PPF in Langley?
Send the year, body (sports sedan, Sport Turismo or Executive), version, colour and any SportDesign, Turbonite or carbon parts. The paint is cleaned of contamination before film, and corrected first when it needs it.
Hold off on washing the Panamera for its first week with film. From the second week, the Panamera can be hand washed or taken through a touchless bay, with the pressure nozzle kept off film edges and brushes kept off the car. Ask for your number on the Panamera PPF quote request or ring 604 534 6433, and read what PPF coverage Highway 1 commuters need if the car does daily highway kilometres.
