Porsche Panamera Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

The Porsche Panamera sports sedan falls under the shop's sedan rear package, with LLumar ATC across its rear doors, the little Panamera quarter panes and the back window from $240; a second-generation Sport Turismo, with its longer roof and tailgate, is on the $260 wagon package. Ceramic IRX or AIR costs extra per package. On the third-generation car Porsche made the rear window frameless and flush with the body, so give the shop your model year.

What does Porsche Panamera window tint cost?

On a Panamera sports sedan the rear glass costs from $240 in LLumar ATC; the Sport Turismo starts at $260 because its tailgate puts it in the wagon package. Ceramic film, any glass roof and the front doors are priced on top.

Film for a Panamera is cut by a computer plotter to the car’s year and body, so nothing sharp is run along its glass or seals, and each piece is then heat-shaped and squeegeed in by hand. LLumar’s lifetime limited warranty stays with the Panamera’s film, and the labour on a Panamera is warranted by the shop for life. Sedan window tint explains the package itself.

How has the Panamera’s rear glass changed by generation?

Enough that the model year matters to the pattern. Porsche’s third-generation press kit says the first generation was assembled at Leipzig from 2009 to 2016, the second was built there from 2016, and the current car is the third.

On that third generation, Porsche describes a “frameless rear window,” says the rear hatch is integrated into the C-pillar “without a visible gap,” and notes that the outer edges of the rear window are “flush with the contour of the body.” Along the sides, Porsche Canada points to “the rising window line at the rear of the vehicle with its distinctive kink at the D-pillar,” the line that frames the small glass behind each rear door.

Body style changes the job, too. Porsche’s 2020 press kit lists the second-generation car as a sports saloon, a Sport Turismo, or an Executive with a longer wheelbase; the current kit puts the Executive’s extra length at 15 cm and says it’s sold in certain markets.

What about the roof and window trim on a Panamera?

Both are worth naming when you ask for a price. The 2020 kit lists an optional panoramic roof system, and a Panamera’s roof glass gets its own price after the shop has seen the car; sunroof and panoramic roof tint covers how that works.

Around the side glass, the third-generation Turbo E-Hybrid uses Porsche’s Turbonite accent colour on the side window trims. Because the film is plotter-cut, that trim isn’t touched by a blade, which matters on a coloured finish that would show any scratch.

What does BC law allow on a Panamera?

Any shade on the glass behind the front seats, back window or tailgate included, since every Panamera has mirrors on both sides. Nothing may go on the Panamera’s two front door windows, and windshield film is legal only in the top 75 mm band.

An Executive’s longer rear doors are still side windows behind the driver, so the same freedom applies to them. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), clear film is treated no differently from dark on the front doors. The shop will film the front doors for $140 if you insist, after telling you plainly that it isn’t road-legal, that a tint ticket is typically $109 and that police may order the film removed and the Panamera taken to an inspection facility. The rule in more depth: front window tint in BC.

Which LLumar film suits a Panamera?

IRX for most owners, especially with passengers in the back. LLumar’s performance data gives IRX an infrared energy rejection (IRER) of 59 to 61% across its shades, against 22% for every ATC shade, so rear-seat occupants feel less radiant heat through the side glass.

AIR 80 suits drivers who want the glass to look nearly untouched while still rejecting 60% of infrared energy (IRER). Every film on that sheet blocks over 99% of UV.

How do you book Panamera tint in Langley?

Tell the shop the Panamera’s model year and body (sports sedan, Sport Turismo or Executive), the engine version, whether a panoramic roof is fitted, and which film and shade appeal to you.

A Panamera is usually done in a day. For three to five days afterwards, leave the Panamera’s rear glass up; from then on, clean it with ammonia-free products and a soft microfibre cloth only. Request a figure through the Panamera tint quote or call 604 534 6433, and see Porsche Panamera PPF for the paint.

Questions about porsche Panamera window tint

01Is a Panamera Executive priced like the regular car?

It starts from the same sedan package, but Porsche stretches the Executive's wheelbase by 15 cm, so expect a confirmed Executive price only once the shop has the exact version.

02Can the Panamera's back window be tinted on the newest model?

Yes. The third-generation rear window is frameless on the outside, but the film is applied from inside the cabin, so that outer edge doesn't change how it's fitted. The pattern for that year is what changes.

03Is a Sport Turismo a sedan or a wagon for tint pricing?

A wagon. Its longer roof and tailgate glass put it on the $260 rear package rather than the $240 sedan package.
