What does PPF cost for a Rivian R1T?
An R1T usually lands above the package starting prices, which run from $850 to $4,000, because of its size. Rivian Canada lists it at 217.1 inches bumper to bumper on a 3,449 mm wheelbase, with 45.5 inches of bed behind the rear tires.
| Package on an R1T | Panels covered | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Whole bumper, leading hood and fender edges, headlights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Entire hood and fenders, full bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front plus A-pillars, a roof strip and rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All paint from cab to tailgate, plus headlights | $4,000 |
LLumar Platinum heals light scratches with heat and is offered in gloss or matte, under a 10-year LLumar limited warranty; Brookswood Tint’s own terms spell out yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Panels are cut from software templates and edges wrapped where the shape allows. Pickups in general are covered on truck PPF.
Where do stones and scrapes hit an R1T?
Up front first, as on any truck: bumper, hood edge, fenders, lamps and mirrors. The R1T adds three areas worth naming at the quote.
- Front tow hooks. The R1T owner’s guide says hooking up recovery gear there can mark both the bumper and the hooks, and lists paint protection film as a remedy.
- Rockers and lower doors. They sit in the spray thrown back by the front tires, more so on gravel. That’s the reason the Track Package includes the rocker panels.
- Gear Tunnel doors. Rivian says the doors of its lockable Gear Tunnel compartment double as a chair or a step for reaching the roof.
The bed itself is a different material. Rivian describes it as a compression-moulded composite built to take water, heat, dings and scrapes, so film goes on the painted body around it, not inside it. After a trail day, Rivian’s post-trip checklist asks owners to inspect the fascias for damage and make sure they’re still firmly attached, which is also the moment to look at the film edges.
Which R1T cameras and sensors does film stay clear of?
All of them. Rivian’s note is short: nothing that could obstruct a camera, radar or sensor, film included, and PPF from Rivian’s own supply. If keeping to that wording matters for your warranty or lease, check with Rivian; either way, have the shop show you where the LLumar film will end.
| R1T | Sensors listed front and rear | Cameras on the driver’s side |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 to 2024 | Front camera, front radar, corner radars, ultrasonic sensors, truck bed camera, surround view cameras | Fender, wing and surround view |
| 2025 to 2027 | Front cameras, front imaging radar, corner radars, ultrasonic sensors, truck bed camera, surround view cameras | Wing, surround view and lane change |
Rivian also warns against damaging, replacing or modifying the rear bumper, and wants the radars cleaned after a car wash in freezing weather.
Is the Track Package or Full Vehicle right for an R1T?
Track suits a truck that sees gravel roads, because it adds the rockers and windshield pillars to a Full Front. Full Vehicle covers every painted panel, including the long bed sides and the tailgate, and it fits an R1T you plan to keep or one that lives on logging roads. The rocker panel PPF page shows what that strip of film covers.
How do you book R1T PPF in Langley?
Send the model year, trim, colour and the kind of driving it does, and say whether the front tow hooks are fitted. A Partial Front takes about a day, Full Front and Track one to two, and Full Vehicle three to five, with the paint decontaminated and corrected first where it needs it. Hand wash or use a touchless bay after the first week, never a brush wash. Request a price on the R1T paint protection quote form or by text at 604 534 6433.
