Tesla Cybertruck PPF in Langley, BC

At a glance

PPF on a Tesla Cybertruck is quoted against the shop's four LLumar Platinum packages, from $850 (partial front) through $1,550 (full front) and $1,900 (Track) to $4,000 (Full Vehicle), and a vehicle this size can price higher. The packages are written for painted cars, and the Cybertruck's body panels are bare stainless steel that Tesla repairs by sanding a whole flat face of the body, so the quote is built from the truck's own panels.

What does PPF cost on a Cybertruck?

On a painted car the four LLumar Platinum tiers begin at $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000. Those are the reference points for a Cybertruck quote, and a vehicle of its size and shape can come in higher.

Package Coverage on a painted car From
Partial Front Full bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors $850
Full Front Whole hood, whole fenders, full bumper, headlights, mirrors $1,550
Track Package Full front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rocker panels $1,900
Full Vehicle All painted surfaces and the headlights $4,000

Platinum’s top coat heals light marks with heat, and its pieces come from software-cut templates. Platinum Gloss carries LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty; the shop’s published terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.

How does Tesla fix a scratch on Cybertruck stainless?

By sanding it out, across far more than the scratch. Tesla’s service manual refers to the truck’s stainless steel body panels, and its stainless panel refinishing procedure says “the entire plane (flat area) of the panel containing the repair area must be refinished,” and the same plane across all panels on that side of the truck as well.

Tesla adds that sanding “may result in a change in the appearance of the repair area,” and recommends the work be done only by trained professional technicians. So a gravel scratch low on one door can turn into refinishing a line along the whole side. Clear film on those panels takes the scratch instead, and light marks in Platinum’s top coat heal with heat.

Which parts of a Cybertruck need cut-outs in the film?

The cameras. Tesla mounts a forward-facing camera in the front fascia, behind a cover reached by removing the front licence plate dummy cover, and it has its own heater. Each front fender flare cover holds another camera and a side repeater, and the cover itself is a separate part held on by 11 clips and 3 datums.

Film on the front has to leave those lenses clear, and the flare covers, being separate parts, can be priced as their own pieces. Mention any accessories fitted to your truck when you ask for a price, so the pattern matches what’s on it.

Is a full front enough on a Cybertruck?

It covers the face of the truck, but the sanding rule changes the maths. Because Tesla refinishes a whole plane and its matching planes on that side, damage along the doors and lower sides is a bigger job to put right, which is the case for side coverage or the Full Vehicle package.

The Track Package also needs a second look here. Its partial roof is meant for painted metal, and the Cybertruck’s roof is a fixed glass assembly, so ask what that package would include on this truck. The truck PPF page compares coverage for pickups in general.

What happens when you book Cybertruck PPF?

Send the model year, the coverage you’re considering and any accessories fitted. The surface is cleaned and decontaminated before film goes down. The first wash waits a week; after that, wash by hand or touchless and keep pressure-washer nozzles away from film edges. If you’re weighing film against a coating, read PPF or ceramic coating, then send the details through the Cybertruck PPF quote form or call 604 534 6433.

Questions about tesla Cybertruck PPF

01Why put film on a truck with no paint?

Because a scratch on bare stainless can't be touched up with paint. Tesla's fix is sanding the whole flat face of the panel and matching faces on that side, so film that takes the scratch instead saves that work.

02Does film change how the stainless looks?

LLumar makes Platinum in gloss and matte, and the matte version turns gloss paint satin. Stainless isn't paint, so ask the shop how each would look on your truck before choosing.

03Can the film cover the fender flares too?

The flare covers hold cameras and side repeaters, so any film there has to leave those clear. Ask for them to be included in the quote if you want them covered.

04How long is a Cybertruck at the shop for PPF?

On a painted car, a partial front takes about a day, a full front one to two days and full coverage three to five. A truck this size is timed in the quote.
