Tesla Cybertruck Ceramic Coating in Langley, BC

At a glance

Brookswood Tint quotes ceramic coating on a Tesla Cybertruck truck by truck, using its graphene-ceramic packages: Essential with one layer, Performance with two and Signature with four. The Cybertruck is unusual because its body panels are bare stainless steel rather than paint, so the polishing and correction steps built into the larger packages are settled for this finish before you choose.

What does ceramic coating cost on a Cybertruck?

Coating is quoted for each vehicle, and the shop publishes no prices for it. Three graphene-ceramic packages set the starting point, and the truck’s size, the surfaces you want covered and the prep it needs set the figure.

Package Layers Correction on a painted car
Essential 1 None listed in the package
Performance 2 Two-stage correction first
Signature 4 Full correction first

On paint, correction means machine polishing the clear coat after the paint thickness is measured. A Cybertruck’s body has no clear coat to measure, so the prep step for its stainless panels is agreed when the truck is quoted. Expect one to three days at the shop, then keep the truck dry for 24 hours. The ceramic coating page covers how the packages work on painted cars.

What is a Cybertruck’s exterior made of?

Stainless steel body panels, black trim pieces and, on the 20-inch wheels, a Stealth Black finish. Tesla’s stainless panel refinishing procedure is written for “the exterior stainless steel body panels,” and the truck’s paint code page lists a single solid vehicle colour, Shield Black, rather than a range of body colours, plus Stealth Black for the 20-inch wheels and wheel covers.

Around the steel, Tesla’s exterior trim section lists separate fender flare covers fore and aft, appliques on the B-pillars, C-pillars, roof, back glass surround and tailgate top, and a beauty cover for the light bar. Each is a different surface from the stainless, so say which ones you want coated. Wheels are covered on the wheel coating page.

How does Tesla handle marks on the stainless?

With abrasives, not polish and wax. The refinishing procedure says scratches “and surface discolorations” of the stainless panels can be removed by sanding, with the panel cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before and between steps and only new discs used, to avoid cross-contamination. Tesla notes the sanding can change how the repair area looks, and recommends trained technicians do the work.

That’s why a coating isn’t a repair. It goes on over the finish the truck has, so marks you don’t want sealed under it are dealt with first. It also isn’t armour: for gravel and scratches, film is the better tool, as set out in does ceramic coating prevent scratches or rock chips and on the Cybertruck PPF page.

Can a Cybertruck’s windshield be coated?

Check what’s already on it first. In its precision-cleaning procedure for the inner glass around the forward cameras, Tesla warns that unapproved isopropyl alcohol wipes “may damage the hydrophobic coating on the windshield,” so Tesla’s windshield already carries a water-repelling coating of its own. Talk to the shop before adding anything to that glass; the glass coating page explains the service on other vehicles.

How do you get a Cybertruck coating quote?

Send the model year, which package interests you, and which trim pieces and wheels you want included. If film is part of the plan, it goes on before the coating, as the coating over PPF page explains. The Cybertruck coating quote form is the quickest route; the shop’s number is 604 534 6433.

Asked at the counter

Questions about cybertruck ceramic coating

01Will a ceramic coating stop scratches on the Cybertruck's stainless?

No. A coating is a thin layer that makes washing easier; it doesn't stop gravel or keys. For scratch protection on the panels, paint protection film is the product to look at.

02Can the coating go on the Cybertruck's black trim pieces?

Tell the shop which pieces you'd like included, such as the fender flare covers or appliques, and they're listed in the quote alongside the stainless panels.

03How soon can the Cybertruck get wet after coating?

Keep it dry for 24 hours after you pick it up. After that, normal washing can start.

04Should PPF or coating go on first?

Film first, then coating, if you're doing both. A coating can go over PPF, so the two can be booked in one visit.
