How is a Ferrari wrap priced?
Every Ferrari wrap is quoted for the car in question, because the shop publishes no wrap prices. The figure follows how much of the body changes colour, the film and finish you pick, how much bare carbon the vinyl has to stop at, and how much trim is removed so the film can wrap behind edges.
| Ferrari wrap job | Timing, as the shop publishes it | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Full colour change, door jambs optional | 3 to 5 days | Quoted per car |
| Roof, bonnet, mirrors or a stripe kit | Same day to 2 days | Quoted per car |
| Livery or graphics from a design file | Planned with the job | Quoted per design |
The shop’s published terms give the vinyl a five-year manufacturer warranty. 3M sets its own cover for 2080 film by climate zone and by which way a panel faces: Canada is in Zone 2 on 3M’s zone list, and its warranty card gives Zone 2 seven years on vertical surfaces and two on horizontal ones. On a low Ferrari, the bonnet and roof are the flattest painted panels, so they’re the ones that age first.
Can a Ferrari livery be done in vinyl?
Yes. A livery is a set of shapes laid over the paint, which is the job cast vinyl is made for, and it comes off later without a trace on sound paint. Ferrari’s own Assetto Fiorano options show the kind of layout vinyl can follow.
- 296 GTS. Ferrari’s 296 GTS page describes a 250 Le Mans-inspired livery, sold only with the Assetto Fiorano package, that “runs from the front wings and hugs the central grille”, forms a hammer motif on the bonnet, then carries on over the retractable hard top and tonneau cover to the rear spoiler.
- 849 Testarossa. The 849 Testarossa in Assetto Fiorano trim can add an exclusive livery in one of two colour variants, Bianco Cervino or Rosso Corsa.
A car built without those options can take a vinyl livery in a similar spirit, cut from a design file. A stripe that runs from bonnet to roof has to line up across every panel gap it crosses, and that alignment is part of the quote. The livery wrap page explains how a design goes from file to film.
Which Ferrari contrast looks suit a partial wrap?
A darker roof and blacked-out details, both of which Ferrari builds into certain models at the factory. Vinyl brings a similar contrast to a car that left Maranello without them.
| What Ferrari builds in | How it’s echoed after delivery |
|---|---|
| 296 Speciale: a “dark colour finish of the roof” that sharpens the greenhouse | A gloss or satin black roof in vinyl |
| F80: body colour above a lower zone of clear-coated carbon | Gloss black or textured film on lower panels |
| Purosangue Handling Speciale: a black rear Prancing Horse and a satin-finished Ferrari script | Darkened badges and trim through a chrome delete |
Across every make it works on, the shop names a satin black roof over gloss paint as the single panel it’s asked for most. The roof wrap page covers that job on its own.
What usually stays out of a Ferrari wrap?
Bare carbon, fabric and glass. Each can be discussed, but none is included by default, so mark them on your quote request.
- Clear-coated carbon. Besides the F80’s lower body, the Purosangue sits on an all-new chassis with a carbon-fibre roof. Covering a finish like that hides the material you paid for.
- Fabric soft tops. The Amalfi Spider uses a soft top built from a “five-layer, sandwich-assembled acoustic fabric”. Vinyl goes on paint, so a colour change wraps the body around the roof.
- Glass on the engine bay. On the 296 GTB, Ferrari shapes the engine compartment cover on “an unusual three-dimensional glass surface” inside the rear buttress. Being glass, it sits outside a colour change.
Wrap or clear PPF: which fits a Ferrari better?
It turns on whether the colour is staying. Clear paint protection film keeps the factory colour and is the product built to stop stone chips; a wrap replaces the colour, and the shop’s own description limits its protection to minor chips and scratches, not stones at highway speed.
Take the Amalfi, which launched in Verde Costiera, described by Ferrari as “a brilliant teal green inspired by the reflections of the sea along the Amalfi coast”. An owner who chose that colour on purpose would protect it with film, not hide it. For a colour you’ve tired of, vinyl is the reversible way out. The Ferrari PPF page prices film by package, and vinyl wrap versus a paint job weighs the permanent alternative.
Getting a Ferrari wrap quote in Langley
Start with the model, year and paint name, any factory option such as Assetto Fiorano or Handling Speciale, and a photo from each corner of the car. For a livery, attach the design or a reference image; for a colour change, add the film maker’s colour code (3M or Avery Dennison) if you have one.
List the carbon parts that should stay bare and any panel that’s been resprayed, since paint that isn’t factory original can come away with the film on removal. Then phone 604 534 6433 or send the details through the wrap quote form.
