Mercedes-Benz G-Class Wrap in Langley, BC

At a glance

A Mercedes-Benz G-Class can be wrapped in full or in parts at Brookswood Tint, in 3M or Avery Dennison cast vinyl that the shop lists with a 5-year warranty on the film. Every G is quoted on its own. Mercedes already sells the G with a contrasting roof in Obsidian Black or Night Black Magno; vinyl gives a similar two-tone on a G that's already built, and the original paint is still there when it comes off.

What does a G-Class wrap cost?

It’s quoted per vehicle, because a G can mean anything from one roof panel to every painted surface. The figure follows how much of the body is covered, the film and finish you pick, and how many pieces have to come off or be worked around.

What the price includes: 3M or Avery Dennison cast vinyl fitted by hand, an inspection of the paint before work starts, and the shop’s published 5-year warranty on the film. Typical jobs on a G fall into three groups:

Job What changes Time in the shop Price
Full colour change Every exterior panel, in gloss, satin, matte or colour-shift film; door jambs available 3 to 5 days Quoted per vehicle
Roof only The roof panel, usually black over another colour Same day to 2 days Quoted per vehicle
Trim and accents Mirror housings, the spare wheel cover, the bright trim Same day to 2 days Quoted per vehicle

How a full change is planned is on colour change wraps. For blacking out the brightwork alone, see G-Class chrome delete.

Which G-Class panels and trim shape a wrap job?

The G has more separate pieces on its body than most SUVs, and each one is either wrapped, removed or worked around. Mercedes’s own parts lists show where they are.

  • Exterior protective trim. The G’s exterior protective moulding holds an insert strip. The AMG G 63’s carbon package makes that insert carbon, and the G 580 launch edition used a blue insert strip, per Mercedes’s G 580 announcement.
  • The rear door. The AMG G 63’s spare wheel cover is painted in body colour, while on the G 580 that spot holds Mercedes’s standard Design Box, a rectangular storage case.
  • Grille and mirrors. On the G 580, Mercedes paints the radiator grille panel and the mirror housings to match the body, and offers a black panel grille instead.
  • Hardware. Mercedes calls out the G’s “distinctive door handles” in its 2025 G 550 announcement, and the running boards are stainless or black depending on the order.

Tell the shop which of these your G has. A body-colour spare wheel cover, for example, is one more panel to match.

What colour options does Mercedes offer instead of a wrap?

A lot, but they’re chosen when the G is ordered and they’re permanent. The 2025 AMG G 63 guide counts 37 paint colours, 25 of them MANUFAKTUR hues, and both it and the G 550 offer the roof painted in Obsidian Black or Night Black Magno.

A wrap reaches the same kinds of looks after the fact. A black roof over a coloured body, a satin finish over gloss paint, or a matte grey like the Avery Matte Metallic Gunmetal the shop put on a Mercedes GLS can all go on a G that left the factory in a single colour. The difference is that vinyl comes off, so the next owner can have the paint Mercedes put on.

How long does vinyl last on a G-Class roof and hood?

It depends on the film and which way each panel faces. 3M’s warranty zone list places Canada in Zone 2, where its 2080 warranty card gives 7 years on vertical surfaces and 2 years on horizontal ones. The shop publishes 5 years on its vinyl. Which Avery Dennison zone covers BC hasn’t been confirmed, so ask about the term for the film you choose.

On a G that split matters more than usual. In the shop’s view, the doors and flanks stand close to upright and count as vertical, while the roof and hood are broad horizontal panels in full sun and rain. If you plan to keep a roof wrap for years, bring that into the choice; roof wraps covers the finishes.

How do you book a G-Class wrap in Langley?

Send the year and model, the current paint name, photos from all four corners, and the colour and finish you’re after. Say which trim pieces you want included and whether the roof, the spare wheel cover or the Design Box should match the body or contrast with it.

The shop aims to quote the same day. Once it’s wrapped, wait a week before a touchless wash, skip brush washes and keep pressure washers off the vinyl edges; the rest is in washing a wrapped car. Start with the wrap quote form or call 604 534 6433.

Questions about G-Class vinyl wrap

01Can I wrap just the roof of my G-Class black?

Yes. A roof wrap is a single-panel job quoted on its own, and it's the vinyl version of the black roof Mercedes offers from the factory. The roof is a horizontal surface, which carries the shorter 3M warranty term in Canada.

02Is the Design Box on a G 580 wrapped with the body?

It can be, since it's a separate panel on the rear door. Say whether you want it in the body colour or a contrast when you ask for the quote.

03Will the vinyl pull paint off my G when it comes off?

Not on healthy factory paint: cast vinyl comes away cleanly with heat. Resprayed panels or paint that's already peeling can lift, which is why the shop inspects the paint and tells you before it starts.

04How long is a G-Class off the road for a full wrap?

A full colour change takes three to five days in the shop. A roof or another single panel takes from the same day to two days.
