What does Corvette window tint cost?
A Corvette coupe’s glass behind the doors starts at $220 in LLumar ATC, priced on the shop’s sports-coupe package of up to three windows. Switching that glass to IRX or AIR ceramic changes the package price, which is quoted, while convertibles get their own quote.
| Glass | Film | From |
|---|---|---|
| Coupe, glass behind the doors (up to 3 pieces) | LLumar ATC, 5 to 50% | $220 |
| The same glass in ceramic | LLumar IRX or AIR | Quoted per package |
| Convertible | ATC, IRX or AIR | Quoted per car |
| Roof panel, where it is glass | IRX or AIR | Quoted per car |
| Both door windows | Any film | $140, illegal on BC roads |
| Whole windshield, fitted inside | Any film | $200, illegal on BC roads |
For that you get genuine LLumar film, plotter-cut to the Corvette’s own outline so no blade touches the paint or trim, heat-shrunk by hand and backed for life, film and workmanship alike. The shop’s window tint price list sets out every package, and the coupe tint page explains how short, curved coupe back glass gets fitted.
How light is the glass GM puts in a Corvette?
Light, by GM’s own figures. Its service bulletin on glass and tint for all 2022 and earlier GM cars and trucks says windshields and front door glass are solar glass with a light transmittance of 70% or more (GM bulletin 21-NA-152).
Behind the doors GM uses either the same solar glass or privacy glass at a nominal 20%, and the bulletin offers a quick test: glass with a light green cast is solar, dark grey or black glass is privacy. Film multiplies with whatever is already there:
| Factory glass | Film | Finished result, roughly |
|---|---|---|
| Solar, 70% | ATC 35 (measures 38%) | 27% |
| Solar, 70% | AIR 80 (measures 77%) | 54% |
| Privacy, 20% | ATC 35 (measures 38%) | 8% |
The film figures come from LLumar’s spec sheet, measured on clear glass, so treat the results as estimates. If you’re torn between shades, which tint percentage to choose walks through the options.
Which roof does your Corvette have?
That depends on the model, and it decides whether there’s any roof glass at all. Chevrolet Canada lists a removable roof panel on every Stingray coupe, a power-retractable hard top on the convertible, and, new for 2026, an electrochromic coupe panel that changes from clear to tinted at the push of a button (Chevrolet Canada, 2026 Stingray).
| Roof | Where Chevrolet lists it | For tint |
|---|---|---|
| Removable body-colour panel | Z06 1LZ (Chevrolet Canada) | No glass to film |
| Removable visible carbon fibre panel, body-colour surround | ZR1 1LZ (Chevrolet) | No glass to film |
| Electrochromic panel | New for the 2026 coupe | Already sets its own shade |
| Power-retractable hard top | Every convertible | Quoted per car |
A coupe fitted with the electrochromic panel already dims itself, so mention the roof type when you first ask about roof film. The sunroof and glass roof page covers how roof glass is quoted.
How does BC’s tint law treat a two-seater?
Strictly, because there’s no back seat. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), film is legal only behind the driver, on a rear window backed up by mirrors outside on each side, and on the windshield’s uppermost 75 mm. On a Corvette, that leaves just the glass behind the doors.
Both door windows sit level with the seats, and inspection item 13d rejects film on any side window sitting in front of the driver’s seat back, clear film included. The shop will film the $140 door pair if asked, yet it stays illegal on the road: expect a ticket of about $109, and an officer can also require removal plus an inspection. You hear all of that before deciding, and the shop’s page on front-window tint in BC spells out the rest.
What should a Corvette convertible owner check first?
Whether the side glass seals are dry. GM bulletin 24-NA-026 covers 2020 to 2025 convertibles built before March 10, 2025, where water can show near the middle rear of the side glass during a touchless or other high-pressure car wash, traced to slight variations between the roof panel seals (GM bulletin 24-NA-026).
The dealer’s repair adds foam under the front side window weatherstrip. Get it sorted before tinting, so a seal leak is never mistaken for a film fault. Chevrolet says the hard top itself lowers in 16 seconds at up to 48 km/h. For timing your first wash after new film, see washing a car after window tint.
How do you book Corvette tint in Langley?
Send the year, coupe or convertible, the trim and the roof panel, plus the film you’re leaning towards. The reply gives the rear package figure, what ceramic adds, and a roof price if your panel is glass.
A yellow C8 is part of the shop’s photo library, listed in its gallery as tinted. Most cars go home the same day; the film then needs a few days to cure, and any faint haze fades within a week. Use the Corvette tint quote form for a price, or ring 604 534 6433 to talk it through.
