How much is PPF on a Corvette?
Between $850 and $4,000 to start, across four LLumar Platinum packages. Where a Corvette lands depends on the coverage chosen, the shape of the panels and the condition of the paint, and its sculpted nose and intakes count towards that.
| Package | Panels covered | From | Usual time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Bumper, headlights, mirrors; hood and fenders partly | $850 | About a day |
| Full Front | Entire hood and fenders, whole bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 | 1 to 2 days |
| Track Package | Full Front plus the A-pillars, the rockers and a band along the roof’s leading edge | $1,900 | 1 to 2 days |
| Full Vehicle | Each painted panel, headlights included | $4,000 | 3 to 5 days |
Platinum is LLumar’s self-healing film, sold in gloss and matte, and its limited warranty from LLumar runs 10 years. The shop’s published terms list four faults under that cover: yellowing, cracking, bubbling, peeling. Edges are wrapped wherever the panel allows. A Corvette’s paint is decontaminated before film, and corrected when it needs it. For the fitting process itself, see paint protection film.
Why do some C8s chip where the headlamp meets the fascia?
Because parts can sit too tight, not only because of stones. GM’s bulletin 22-NA-081, dated October 2023, covers 2020 to 2024 Corvettes whose paint chips or peels on the front fascia or along the fender-to-fascia seam, and gives the likely cause as a headlamp positioned too tight to the body panel, or too tight a fit between fascia and fender.
GM names four contact points: the fender and fascia under the headlamp, the headlamp’s front corner against the fascia, the headlamp tight to the fender, and the fascia against the fender. Its procedure checks for at least 0.5 mm between the headlamp lens and the body panel. An earlier bulletin, 20-NA-124, traced a small chip under the headlamp on 2020 cars to a fender-to-fascia joint that sat out of position.
Before film: clear PPF can’t correct a fit problem. If your C8 shows a chip at those seams, have the dealer look at it against the bulletin and fix the paint first; film goes on afterwards. Whether PPF hides chips already there covers why.
Which Corvette parts sit lowest at the front?
The splitter, and on some cars the rockers. Chevrolet Canada lists a Z51-specific front splitter and rear spoiler in the Z51 Performance Package (2026 Stingray), and the 2027 Grand Sport’s Carbon Fibre Aero Package adds rockers, a front splitter, dive planes and a high wing (2027 Grand Sport).
| Car | What GM’s paperwork says about the nose |
|---|---|
| Z06 and ZR1, 2023 to 2025; E-Ray, 2024 to 2025 | The front splitter kit is fitted at pre-delivery, and its four long bolts can dimple the fascia (22-NA-198) |
| Corvette with RPO E60, 2020 to 2025 | A hydraulic front lift system; GM says its shocks must not be modified to lower the car (22-NA-132) |
Clear film follows the surface under it, so a dimple from the wrong fasteners stays visible through PPF. Look along the fascia above the splitter before booking. If you track the car, the Track Package page explains what the rocker and A-pillar coverage adds.
Does GM’s warranty cover stone chips on a Corvette?
No, not chips from road debris. GM’s lamp-damage bulletin quotes its New Vehicle Warranty: “Lights, lenses, mirrors, paint, grill, moldings and trim are not covered for cracks, chips, scratches, dents, dings and punctures or tears as a result of impact with other objects or road hazards” (02-08-42-001J).
The fit-related chipping in 22-NA-081 is a separate case with its own dealer procedure. Stone strikes on the nose, though, are the owner’s cost, which is the gap PPF is there to fill. How film interacts with a car’s own coverage is set out on PPF and your car warranty.
How do you book Corvette PPF in Langley?
Tell the shop the year and which Corvette it is (Grand Sport, ZR1, Z06, E-Ray or Stingray), whether it has the Z51 or carbon aero parts, and which package you want. Send close photos of both headlamp seams so any existing chip is on record before the quote.
Wait seven days before the Corvette’s first wash. From day eight it can be washed by hand or touchless; point pressure wands clear of film edges and give brush tunnels a miss. If the car will also be coated, the film goes on first; the Corvette ceramic coating page covers that side. Ask through the PPF quote form for a Corvette price, or ring 604 534 6433.
