How is a Corvette wrap priced?
Per car, from photos and the model, because a Corvette wrap can be anything from one panel to the whole body. A Corvette is wrapped in 3M or Avery Dennison cast film, with five years of published shop warranty on the film.
| Job | What decides the price |
|---|---|
| Full colour change | Which body, how many intakes and vents the film has to follow, the colour and finish |
| Roof panel | Whether the panel is painted or bare carbon, and gloss or satin |
| Stripes or a partial | Length, width and how many panels they cross |
Both brands make gloss, satin and matte films, and colour names come from their own ranges; the 3M 2080 film page lists what that line covers. For what moves wrap prices in general, see what a vinyl wrap costs.
Does a wide-body Corvette take more vinyl?
Yes, more surface means more film and more time. Chevrolet Canada says the E-Ray has “wider fenders, quarter panels, and fascias” than the standard car, describes the Z06 by its “wide-body stance”, and gives the 2027 Grand Sport “a sculpted wide-body chassis” with “an integrated rear spoiler, aggressive wide side air inlets”.
Wider panels and bigger inlets mean more film and more trimming, so a wide-body C8 is quoted on its own rather than as a Stingray. If the car carries any of the carbon fibre aero parts Chevrolet offers, list them, and the quote will say which pieces get film and which stay bare.
Can a Corvette get factory-style stripes in vinyl?
Yes. Chevrolet’s own 2027 Grand Sport offers “heritage inspired accents” including “an authentic centre stripe and fender hash marks”, according to Chevrolet Canada. On any other Corvette, stripes are a partial wrap in cast vinyl, laid over whichever panels you choose.
Vinyl stripes can also be taken off later, leaving the factory paint they covered. For bolder graphics than a pair of stripes, the livery and graphics page is the better starting point.
What should you know about the Z51 spoiler and rear fascia?
That the paint there is heat-sensitive, by GM’s own account. GM’s bulletin 20-NA-133 for the 2020 Corvette says the Z51 rear spoiler is held on with two-way tape, and that the fascia paint “is unable to withstand the high heat generated by a heat gun” used to soften it.
GM’s answer was to cut the tape with fishing line and drop the heat gun from its accessory instructions entirely. Vinyl is worked and later removed with heat too, so two things follow. If you plan to swap the Z51 spoiler for a high wing, do it before the wrap, not after. And it’s fair to ask how heat will be handled around the rear fascia when the car is quoted.
How long does vinyl last on a Corvette’s flat panels?
Shorter on the horizontal surfaces, under the maker’s own terms. For 2080 film in Zone 2, the 3M warranty card splits cover by surface: seven years where a panel stands upright, two where it lies flat. Canada is a Zone 2 country on 3M’s zone list.
On a Corvette, the hood, roof panel and rear deck all face the sky, so they sit in the two-year column. If you pick Avery film instead, ask which of Avery’s zones the shop applies here, since that isn’t settled for BC. Separately, the shop publishes five years on the vinyl itself.
How do you book a Corvette wrap in Langley?
Send photos of the car from each corner, the model and year, the shade and sheen you want, and whether it’s a full wrap, a roof or stripes. Mention any chips or aftermarket parts, since vinyl shows what’s beneath it.
The quote lists which panels and parts get film and which are left bare. Request it on the vinyl wrap quote form or ring 604 534 6433, and see how a wrap comes off if you’re planning ahead to resale.
