How much is Trailblazer window tint?
$260 in LLumar ATC covers the Trailblazer’s rear glass: both rear door windows, any fixed side glass behind them and the liftgate window. IRX or AIR ceramic on the same glass is quoted per package, and the panoramic sunroof is quoted on its own.
| Trailblazer glass | Film | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear doors, fixed rear side glass, liftgate | LLumar ATC dyed | $260 |
| Rear glass again, in ceramic | LLumar IRX or AIR | Per-package quote |
| Panoramic sunroof (LT, ACTIV, RS) | Any | Priced from the vehicle |
| Driver and passenger doors | Any | $140, film there is illegal in BC |
| Windshield, full, from inside | Any | $200; only a 75 mm top strip is legal |
Every piece comes off the plotter already shaped to the Trailblazer, then gets heat-shrunk and squeegeed by hand, so no knife touches the glass or the seals. The film and the labour carry a lifetime warranty. The window tint price list shows the other body styles.
Does every Trailblazer leave the factory with dark rear glass?
Every 2026 Canadian trim does, according to Chevrolet. The 2026 Trailblazer comparison lists deep-tinted rear glass, “tint on rear side windows and rear liftgate glass”, as standard on the LS, LT, ACTIV and RS. On the LS it arrives through the LS Convenience Package, which is standard on that trim.
South of the border it’s different. Chevrolet’s US site names “deep-tinted rear windows and liftgate glass” among the things the LT adds over the LS. A Trailblazer bought or imported from the US may have lighter glass in the back.
You can usually tell by looking. GM’s bulletin 21-NA-152, written for 2022 and older GM vehicles, says light green glass is solar glass at 70% or more light transmission and dark grey or black glass is privacy glass at a nominal 20%. The same film lands very differently on each: IRX 35, measured at 39% on LLumar’s spec sheet, comes out near 27% over solar glass and near 8% over privacy glass.
Can the Trailblazer’s dual-pane sunroof take film?
Yes, as a separate quote. Chevrolet Canada describes the optional panoramic power sunroof as dual-pane, spanning both rows, opening over the first row and tilting for air, with a power sunshade. It’s available on the LT, ACTIV and RS and not offered on the LS.
Two panes means two pieces of film, one on glass that moves and one on glass that doesn’t. How two-panel roofs are measured and priced is on the sunroof tint page.
Which Trailblazer windows are legal to tint in BC?
Every window behind the driver, at any darkness, and the liftgate too because the Trailblazer has outside mirrors on both sides. MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows no film on the front doors and none on the windshield below the top 75 mm.
Chevrolet already builds the windshield from solar-absorbing glass on every trim, and the rear glass darkness is a factory matter covered in whether factory privacy glass is legal in BC. Owners who want the front doors or the full windshield filmed anyway can have it done on request. The shop explains first that the film breaks BC’s rule, that a ticket typically runs $109 and can come with an order to remove it, and that the Trailblazer fails inspection with it on. Read tinting front windows in BC before deciding.
Booking a Trailblazer in Langley
Send the year, the trim, where it was first sold and whether it has the sunroof. A photo of the rear glass from outside helps if you’re unsure which glass it has.
Look at the door glass in daylight before drop-off. GM’s bulletin 21-NA-065 says vertical scratches running parallel to the B-pillar trim on 2021 Trailblazers are likely caused by grit in the outer belt seal and can count as a warranty item. Film goes on the inside, so it won’t hide a scratch on the outside face; get the glass looked at first.
Most Trailblazers are done the same day. Leave the windows closed for three to five days. Book through the Trailblazer tint quote form or call 604 534 6433.
