What does an F-150 tint job cost?
$240 is the starting point for a SuperCab or SuperCrew, counting the glass in both rear doors and the back window, fixed pane or slider alike. That is the shop’s pickup rear package in LLumar ATC, and the ceramic films are quoted on top.
| F-150 glass | From |
|---|---|
| Rear door windows and back glass (SuperCab, SuperCrew) | $240 |
| Same glass in IRX or AIR ceramic | Priced per package |
| Regular Cab back glass | Quoted per truck |
| Twin-panel moonroof (SuperCrew) | Quoted per truck |
| Driver and passenger doors | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, from the inside | $200, not road-legal in BC |
The plotter works from a file for your F-150’s year and cab, and the film carries LLumar’s lifetime warranty while the installation carries the shop’s own, also for life. Ask for a single figure if you add ceramic, the roof or old-film removal; a combined job usually prices below the parts added up. Every package is listed under window tint prices.
Which 2026 F-150 trims have privacy glass in the back window?
Most of them. Ford Canada’s trim pages for 2026 list the back window like this:
| 2026 trim | Back window as Ford lists it |
|---|---|
| XL | Fixed glass with solar tint; privacy tint and defroster optional |
| STX, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, Raptor | Fixed glass with privacy tint and defroster |
| Tremor | Fixed glass with privacy tint and defroster, optional on SuperCrew |
| King Ranch | Power-sliding glass with privacy tint and defroster (SuperCab, SuperCrew) |
Two things follow. On the trims with privacy glass, any film multiplies with the factory tint: 20% film over glass that already lets through 20% leaves about 4%, and Ford publishes no figure for its glass, so judge it by eye. And on an XL with the standard solar-tint pane, the same film number will look lighter than it does on an XLT parked beside it. Tint versus factory privacy glass helps pick a shade for each case.
The back glass is also the window you look through to hitch a trailer, so a lighter film on that pane than on the doors is worth considering.
Can a King Ranch’s power-sliding back glass be tinted?
Yes, and it’s part of the same $240 package. The slider’s panes are cut from the same plotter pattern as the rest of the truck’s glass and shrunk to shape by hand. Leave it locked shut for three to five days afterwards; the film needs that long to dry before the pane slides against its seals.
The defroster lines on every privacy-glass trim sit under the film, which is harmless. They matter if the film is ever replaced, because the removal has to be done with steam to keep the heating lines intact. Rear window tint removal describes that process.
What’s different about SuperCab rear windows?
The SuperCab’s rear doors open to 170 degrees, according to Ford’s XL page, and on the XL SuperCab the second-row windows can be ordered fixed instead of powered. Fixed or powered, the glass behind the driver takes film the same way, and the rear package price covers it.
Can an F-150 have front-window tint in BC?
Not legally. MVAR s. 7.05(8) confines film to glass rearward of the driver, the windshield’s uppermost 75 mm, and the back window, the last of these allowed because every F-150 carries a mirror on each door, standard or trailer-tow. Film on either front door window, clear or dark, is outside that list, and it fails an inspection.
For an owner who still wants it, the shop does fit front-door film, $160 on a full-size pickup, after going through the fine and what an inspection would find. Front window tint in BC explains the rest.
How do you book F-150 tint in Langley?
Tell the shop the year, the cab (Regular Cab, SuperCab or SuperCrew), the trim and the type of back window, and pick ATC, IRX or AIR. Back comes a figure for the rear glass, the extra for ceramic if you chose it, and a roof figure if the truck has the twin-panel moonroof. Request yours through the F-150 tint quote form. For other pickups and the glass rules that apply to all of them, see truck window tint.
