GMC Sierra 1500 Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

On a GMC Sierra 1500, the glass behind the front seats, meaning the rear door windows and back glass, is tinted from $240 in LLumar ATC dyed film. IRX or AIR ceramic is quoted per truck. GMC builds the Sierra as a Crew Cab, Double Cab or Regular Cab, and the cab decides what that package covers. Front door film is $160 and is not road-legal in BC.

What does window tint cost on a GMC Sierra 1500?

For $240 and up in LLumar ATC, a Sierra 1500’s rear package takes in both back-seat door windows and the rear window or slider. Ceramic film on those windows is priced per package, and a Regular Cab is quoted separately because it has no rear doors.

Sierra 1500 job Glass From
Rear package, Crew Cab or Double Cab Back-seat door glass and the rear window or slider $240
Same glass in IRX or AIR ceramic As above Quoted per package
Regular Cab Back glass only Quoted per truck
Front doors Driver’s and passenger’s door windows $160, not road-legal in BC
Full windshield, from the inside Windshield $200, not road-legal below the top 75 mm

Prices cover genuine LLumar film, a plotter pattern for the Sierra’s model year and cab that keeps blades off the glass, and lifetime coverage of film and labour. Every package is set out on the window tint price page.

Which Sierra 1500 cab do you have?

Check the cab first, because it sets how much glass sits behind the driver. For the 2027 model year, GMC lists three cabs, and not every trim comes in each one.

2027 Sierra 1500 cab Trims GMC offers it in Seats Glass behind the driver
Crew Cab Every trim Up to 6 Full-size rear door windows and back glass
Double Cab Pro and Elevation Up to 5 Smaller rear door windows and back glass
Regular Cab Pro only Up to 3 Back glass only

The top trims narrow it further. GMC’s 2026 Denali page says the Denali Ultimate came only as a 4WD Crew Cab with the short bed, so every one of those trucks takes the standard rear package. A Pro could be any of the three, so name the cab when you ask for a price.

Can a Sierra’s sunroof or panoramic roof be tinted?

Yes, but roof glass is quoted apart from the side and back windows. Which roof your Sierra has depends on the year and the trim.

On the 2026 truck, GMC Canada lists a power sunroof as available on the Elevation. For 2027, GMC added what it calls a Sierra-first panoramic sunroof with open, tilt and a power sunshade: available on the Elevation and AT4, standard on the AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate. A roof that size is measured on the truck, and roof-glass fitting and pricing are explained on the panoramic roof tint page.

What does BC law allow on a Sierra 1500’s windows?

On a Crew Cab or Double Cab, the rear door windows can take film of any darkness, because MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows it on side windows behind the driver. The back glass is allowed only while the truck has an outside mirror on both sides. Neither front door window can legally carry film, and the windshield is limited to a band in the top 75 mm.

The Regular Cab is the one to think about. With no rear doors, its back glass is the only window behind the driver, so every bit of legal film on that truck depends on both mirrors staying in place. Film on the front doors or the full windshield is available on request, yet it isn’t road-legal here: the usual ticket is $109, and an officer can also write an order for removal and an inspection of the Sierra. The shop walks through that before anyone decides; tinting front windows in BC sets out the whole rule.

Which LLumar film suits a Sierra 1500?

Pick ATC for privacy at the starting price, IRX for the same shades with far more heat turned away, or AIR to cut heat without darkening the glass. On LLumar’s performance data sheet, ATC’s total solar energy rejection runs 28–44% and IRX’s 50–62%, while every film in the range stops over 99% of UV.

GMC’s Sierra pages give no light-transmission figures for the glass, so look at your rear windows before settling on a number. If they’re already darkened at the factory, film multiplies with the glass: 20% film over 20% glass leaves roughly 4%. Have the shop look at your glass with you before you settle on a shade.

How do you book Sierra 1500 tint in Langley?

Tell the shop the model year, cab and trim, whether there’s roof glass, and which film you’re leaning toward. You get back a rear package price, the ceramic difference and, if you asked, a roof figure.

Expect the Sierra back the same day in most cases; a whole truck is typically two to four hours of work. For three to five days the Sierra’s side glass stays closed; any slight haze or trapped water in that first week evaporates without help. Request a price with the Sierra tint quote form; the shop’s text line is 604 534 6433. For pickups of every make, see the truck window tint page.

Questions about sierra 1500 window tint

01Does a Sierra Regular Cab cost the same to tint as a Crew Cab?

No. A Regular Cab has no rear doors, so the pickup rear package doesn't fit it and the back glass is priced on its own. Send the year and trim for the figure.

02Can I tint only the back window on my Sierra?

Yes. The back glass can be done by itself and priced for your truck. In BC it can carry film as long as the Sierra keeps an outside mirror on both sides.

03Is the panoramic roof on a Sierra Denali part of the rear package?

No. The rear package covers side and back glass only. Roof glass is measured and quoted as a job of its own.

04How long before I can open my Sierra's windows after tint?

Give the film three to five days to cure with the windows up, including a sliding back window if your Sierra has one.
