Yukon tint prices at a glance
The rear glass is $260 in LLumar ATC on the shop’s full-size SUV package. Ceramic film, the roof and anything ahead of the B-pillar are separate lines.
| On a Yukon | Glass | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear package | Both rear doors, the quarter and extended side windows, the liftgate glass | $260 |
| Ceramic upgrade | IRX or AIR on that same glass | Quoted per package |
| Panoramic power sunroof | Both roof panes | Quoted per vehicle |
| Front door windows | Driver and front passenger | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Windshield, from the inside | Full glass | $200, legal only in the top 75 mm |
The plotter cuts each piece from the Yukon’s own pattern, so no knife goes near the glass or trim, and both film and workmanship are covered for life. Adding the roof to the side windows normally prices below the two figures separately; ask for the combined number.
Does laminated front door glass change the BC rule?
No. GMC Canada’s 2026 Yukon comparison lists laminated driver and front passenger door windows as standard on the Elevation, AT4, AT4 Ultimate, Denali and Denali Ultimate, alongside acoustic laminated glass that GMC says helps keep out traffic and road noise. Those are still the windows beside the driver.
MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows film only behind the driver, on the rear window when both outside mirrors are fitted, and in the top 75 mm of the windshield. So a Yukon’s front doors can’t legally carry film of any shade, and the 2025 Vehicle Inspection Manual rejects it under item 13d. The shop fits it only on request, after explaining the ticket, the possible order to remove it and the inspection that follows. How film behaves on this kind of glass is covered in tinting acoustic laminated side glass, and the law in front window tint in BC.
How does film stack on the Yukon’s deep-tinted rear glass?
It multiplies. The comparison lists deep-tinted glass on every 2026 trim, with GMC’s note putting it on the side windows behind the front doors and on the liftgate, but GMC gives no light-transmission figure for it.
That makes the factory glass the first thing to judge. Put 20% film on glass that already passes 20% and you get roughly 4%. If what you want is less heat with the same look, LLumar AIR is near-clear and leaves the shade close to stock. If you want it darker, compare samples on your own glass in daylight before choosing.
Which Yukon trims have the panoramic sunroof?
Two have it as standard and three offer it. GMC’s comparison sets it out:
| 2026 Yukon trim | Panoramic power sunroof |
|---|---|
| Elevation | Available |
| AT4 | Available |
| AT4 Ultimate | Standard |
| Denali | Available |
| Denali Ultimate | Standard |
GMC Canada’s Yukon page describes it as dual panes with tilt sliding, express-open and express-close, and a power sunshade. Both panes are measured and the roof is priced from the vehicle; the sunroof tint page explains the process.
Where does the head-up display fit in?
Low in the driver’s line of sight, which is where GMC’s comparison says it projects, well below the only band BC lets you film. The 15-inch multicolour head-up display is standard on the AT4 Ultimate, Denali and Denali Ultimate and available on the Elevation and AT4, and the Denali page says it puts key information directly onto the windshield. Every trim also has a factory windshield shade band.
A road-legal strip stays within the top 75 mm, the edge the shade band occupies. If you’re thinking about a full windshield, which isn’t road-legal, raise the head-up display when you ask for the quote.
What to tell the shop about your Yukon
The year, the trim, Yukon or Yukon XL, and whether the roof is glass. Then pick ATC, IRX or AIR, and you’ll get back a price for the rear glass, the cost of going ceramic and, if it applies, the roof.
A Yukon’s glass usually takes two to four hours, so it’s normally a same-day job. The Yukon tint quote form takes those details, and so does a text to 604 534 6433.
