Mazda CX-30 Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

A Mazda CX-30's rear windows can be tinted from $260 at Brookswood Tint in LLumar ATC, covering the rear doors and the glass around the cargo area, liftgate included, with ceramic IRX or AIR quoted per package. Whether your CX-30 already has privacy glass depends on the trim: Mazda Canada's 2025 lineup fitted it from the GS up, not on the base GX. No film on the front doors is road-legal in BC.

How much does it cost to tint a Mazda CX-30?

$260 in LLumar ATC is where the rear glass starts, under the shop’s SUV and wagon package. Ceramic film on that glass, and the moonroof on trims that have one, are priced for your car.

Window group Starting point Notes
Rear doors, cargo-area glass, liftgate $260 ATC dyed film in four shades
Same glass in IRX or AIR Per-package quote Ceramic; AIR is almost clear
Glass moonroof Per-vehicle quote Only on trims fitted with one
Front door windows $140 Fitted on request; breaks BC’s rule
Whole windshield from inside $200 Breaks BC’s rule below the top 75 mm

The plotter cuts film to the CX-30’s own window outlines, so trimming happens on the cutting table, not your glass; then each piece is shaped with heat and laid in by hand. LLumar covers the film for life and the shop does the same for its workmanship. How the rear package is counted is set out on the SUV window tint page.

Does your CX-30 have factory privacy glass?

It depends on the trim. On Mazda Canada’s 2025 CX-30 specifications, the GS adds privacy glass for the “rear doors and cargo area” to the GX’s equipment, and the GT builds on the GS. The entry GX is the trim without it.

2025 CX-30 (Canada) Rear privacy glass Glass moonroof Rain-sensing wipers
GX Not listed Not listed Not listed
GS Yes With the Luxury Package Yes
GT Yes Yes Yes

That changes the shade advice. On a GX, the film’s own figure is close to what you’ll see: ATC 35 measures 38% visible light on LLumar’s sheet, tested on 6 mm clear glass, so a real window reads slightly differently. On a GS or GT, the film multiplies with privacy glass that Mazda gives no figure for, and the result comes out darker than the film’s number. Compare the two trims’ glass before choosing, and read whether you can tint over factory tint.

Can the CX-30’s moonroof be tinted?

Yes, on the trims that have one, priced apart from the rear package. The 2025 sheet bundles a power glass moonroof with an interior sunshade into the GS Luxury Package and fits it to the GT; for 2026, Mazda Canada lists it from the GS Kuro up.

The moonroof section of the 2025 CX-30 manual has it opening from an overhead tilt/slide switch above the front seats. When you slide the shade back for light, film on the glass is what limits the heat coming through. Near-clear AIR keeps that light, and LLumar lists UV rejection above 99% for every film on its spec sheet. Sunroof tint covers fitting and price.

What limits film on the CX-30’s windshield?

Two things: BC law and Mazda’s camera. The Forward Sensing Camera page of the 2025 CX-30 manual says film, stickers and accessories don’t belong on the windshield near the camera, transparent or not, because they stop the system reading the road properly.

From the GS up there’s a rain sensor too: the manual’s exterior care page warns that touching or wiping the windshield above the rain sensor can set the wipers off when they’re on AUTO. The GT also projects its Active Driving Display onto the windshield. BC caps windshield film at the top 75 mm in any case, so the real question is whether a strip can stay clear of the camera; ask before planning one, and see how driver-assist cameras affect windshield tint.

What can be tinted on a CX-30 in BC?

Everything aft of the front seats. MVAR s. 7.05(8), BC’s tint rule, lets film of any darkness go on behind the driver, the rear window included as long as outside mirrors are fitted left and right; every CX-30 has power mirrors on both sides. The front door windows sit level with the driver’s seat, so the regulation allows no film on them, not even a clear one.

Ask for front-door film anyway and the shop will fit it, after explaining what follows: a ticket that typically costs $109, possibly an order to strip the film and put the car through inspection, and a fail at that inspection. The front-window rule in BC is explained in full.

How do you book CX-30 tint in Langley?

Name the model year and trim: for 2026, Mazda Canada lists the GX, GS, GS Kuro, GT, GT Kuro and GT Turbo. The trim tells the shop whether privacy glass and a moonroof are already there. Add the film you’re leaning towards.

Plan on having the CX-30 back the same day. The rear windows need to stay closed for three to five days as the film cures; a faint haze early on is moisture drying out. Mazda’s manual says the rear defogger filaments are inside the rear window, which is the face the film goes on, so replacement film is lifted with steam. Request a price with the CX-30 tint quote form; the paint side is on Mazda CX-30 PPF.

Questions about mazda CX-30 window tint

01Is tint worth it on a CX-30 GX without privacy glass?

It's the trim where film changes the look most, because the back glass has no factory privacy tint to start from. BC allows any shade behind the driver, so pick the shade for the privacy you're after and the night-time view you need.

02Which LLumar film keeps a CX-30's cabin coolest?

IRX ceramic: LLumar's sheet puts its total solar energy rejection at 50–62%, against 28–44% for ATC. If you want heat control with almost no added darkness, AIR 80 is the alternative.

03How long does a CX-30 tint job take?

Most rear sets take two to four hours. Adding the moonroof, or stripping an old film first, makes it a longer visit.
