Mazda CX-70 Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

CX-70 window tint at Brookswood Tint starts at $260 in LLumar ATC for the glass behind the front doors: the two rear doors, the side windows beside the cargo area and the liftgate. Mazda fits privacy glass to those windows on every trim, so a lighter film often gives the look you want. Ceramic upgrades and the moonroof are each quoted separately.

What does window tint cost on a Mazda CX-70?

The rear glass starts at $260 in LLumar ATC dyed film, which is the shop’s SUV rear package. IRX nano-ceramic or AIR clear ceramic on the same windows is quoted per package, and roof glass gets a separate figure.

CX-70 glass From
Rear doors, cargo-area side windows and liftgate, LLumar ATC $260
The same windows in IRX or AIR ceramic Quoted per package
Glass or panoramic moonroof Quoted per vehicle
Front door glass $140; BC doesn’t allow it
Whole windshield, fitted inside $200; the legal strip is the top 75 mm

The film is plotter-cut to the CX-70’s pattern and heat-formed to each pane by hand, with no blade on the glass or seals. Film and workmanship carry a lifetime warranty, and a rear package usually takes two to four hours. Prices for every body style are on the window tint price list.

How does a two-row CX-70 differ from a CX-90 for tint?

There’s no third row beside the rear side windows. On a CX-70, the glass behind the rear doors looks onto a long cargo floor, so it matters more for keeping a parked load out of sight than for shading passengers.

Mazda’s 2026 CX-70 specification deck lists “privacy glass - rear side windows and rear liftgate glass” as standard on all seven US trims, PHEVs included. It gives no light-transmission figure, so judge the glass by eye. Film multiplies with it: IRX 50, which measures 54% on LLumar’s spec sheet, roughly halves whatever light the factory glass lets through. For background on factory tint, read how dark factory privacy glass is. If you also own its three-row sibling, the CX-90 tint page covers that model’s sunshades and third row.

Can the CX-70’s panoramic moonroof be filmed?

Yes, and it’s quoted separately because the glass differs by trim. For 2025, Mazda Canada lists a power-sliding panoramic moonroof from the GT up on the inline-six, while the PHEV GS-L carries a power glass moonroof.

The panoramic roof is two glass panels. Mazda’s bulletin 09-045-24 deals with a rattle from the rear end of the rear panel on 2025 CX-70s built before May 18, 2024, fixed with a modified headliner fastener. If yours rattles, let the dealer sort it before roof film goes on. Roof pricing is laid out on the panoramic roof and sunroof tint page.

How do you keep a CX-70’s windows shut while film cures?

Lock them from the driver’s door. Fresh film needs the side windows closed for three to five days, and Mazda’s manual for the CX-70 shows a power window lock switch that leaves only the driver’s switch working once it’s in the lock position. Press it before the drive home, especially with children in the back.

The lock matters because of how the switches behave. Mazda’s power window page describes an auto-opening function: one full press sends a window all the way down without holding the switch. A curious passenger could drop a window and lift the edge of film that hasn’t cured yet. The window lock instructions show where the switch sits on the driver’s door.

What may BC drivers tint on a CX-70?

Every window behind the driver, at any shade, including the liftgate because the CX-70 has outside mirrors on both sides. MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows nothing on the front doors and only the top 75 mm of the windshield.

On the PHEV GT, Mazda projects its colour Active Driving Display onto the windshield, glass that BC already limits to a 75 mm strip at the top. Ask for front-door or full-windshield film and the shop will fit it, after telling you straight that it breaks the BC rule, that police can write a $109 ticket and order it removed, and that the CX-70 would fail inspection. For the wording of the regulation, see tinting front windows in BC.

Send the model year, the trim and the powertrain, plus the film you’re considering and whether the roof is in or out. The reply covers the rear package and any ceramic or roof cost.

Most CX-70s go home the same day. A faint haze or small water pockets in the first week are part of curing and fade without help. Clean the film with a soft microfibre and an ammonia-free cleaner. Ask through the CX-70 tint quote form or phone 604 534 6433.

Questions about mazda CX-70 window tint

01Is the CX-70 PHEV's rear glass tinted any differently from the turbo six?

No. Mazda's spec sheet lists privacy glass on the rear side windows and liftgate for both powertrains, and the $260 rear package applies to either. The roof and the windshield display are what change from trim to trim.

02Will the rear door sunshades still fit after tinting?

Yes. The shades sit on the door trim and pull up in front of the glass, while the film is bonded to the glass itself, so neither gets in the other's way.

03Can I get only the CX-70's liftgate window tinted?

Yes, single windows are priced on request. Matching the rear doors and cargo-area glass at the same visit avoids one window looking darker than its neighbours.
