What does tint cost on a C-Class sedan?
The C-Class falls in the sedan class: $240 in LLumar ATC covers the two rear door windows and the back window. IRX nano-ceramic or AIR clear ceramic on the same panes is an upgrade quoted for the package, and roof glass is priced separately.
| C-Class glass | What’s included | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear glass | Both rear door windows, any small rear pane, the back window | $240 |
| Ceramic upgrade | Those same windows in IRX or AIR | Quoted per package |
| Panorama roof | The roof glass, on cars that have it | Quoted per vehicle |
| Front doors | The pair of windows beside the front seats | $140 on request; not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield | Fitted from the inside | $200, not road-legal below the top 75 mm |
Each piece comes off the computerized plotter already shaped to the C-Class pattern for your year, then gets heat-shrunk and set by hand, so nothing sharp is drawn across the glass or the door seals. LLumar backs the film with its lifetime limited warranty, and the shop’s own lifetime warranty covers the installation. Combining jobs in one visit usually costs less than adding up the list; the window tint price list has every package.
What sits behind the C-Class windshield?
A forward camera and, as an option, a head-up display. Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2022 C-Class quick reference guide says the optional dashcam works “using the camera in the windshield”, and the 2021 launch release lists a colour head-up display whose image appears to float about 4.5 metres ahead.
The same launch release explains the shape: Mercedes moved the windshield and passenger cell rearward in a “cab-backward design”. For the updated C-Class that reaches U.S. dealers in the first half of 2027, Mercedes’s August 2026 release adds an optional augmented-reality head-up display, eight cameras around the car and an extra seal on the windshield against wind noise.
For tint, that means two things. Only the top 75 mm of the windshield can legally carry film in BC, and the shop checks where the camera housing meets the glass before cutting that strip. The camera question is covered in more depth on tinting a windshield with an ADAS camera.
Can the C-Class panorama roof be tinted?
Yes, as a separate job from the side glass. Mercedes-Benz Canada offers a power panoramic sunroof on the C-Class with a power sunshade underneath, and for 2026 Mercedes-Benz USA added an AMG Lite Plus Package that pairs the panorama roof with 19-inch AMG wheels and a rear spoiler, per its 2026 model line updates.
The shade only works when it’s pulled across. Film works all the time, blocking more than 99% of UV and, in IRX or AIR, a large share of infrared. Mercedes doesn’t publish a light figure for the roof glass, and film stacks on whatever tint the glass already has: 20% film over glass passing 20% leaves roughly 4%. Pricing and fitting for roof glass are on sunroof and panoramic roof tint.
Which C-Class windows can legally carry film in BC?
Everything behind the driver, at any shade; nothing on the front doors. MVAR s. 7.05(8) permits film on side windows behind the driver and on the rear window of a vehicle with outside mirrors on both sides, and a C-Class has a mirror on each front door.
The shop will fit the C-Class front doors ($140) or the full windshield ($200) if an owner asks, but neither is road-legal here. A tint ticket typically costs $109, and police can order the film removed and the car inspected. You hear that from the shop before any decision is made, and tinting front windows in BC sets out the rule in full.
Which LLumar film suits a C-Class?
Pick by what you want from the back seat. On LLumar’s performance data sheet, ATC rejects 28 to 44% of total solar energy (TSER) and IRX 50 to 62%. AIR 80 lets 77% of visible light through while rejecting 60% of infrared energy (IRER), which suits a panorama roof you’d rather keep bright.
ATC is the starting price. IRX costs more and turns away more of the sun’s heat at the same shade. Any of the three blocks over 99% of UV for rear passengers.
How do you book C-Class tint in Langley?
Send the model year, the model (C 300, AMG C 43 or AMG C 63), whether it has the panorama roof and any film you have in mind. The reply gives the sedan package, the ceramic difference and a roof figure if you asked for one.
A full sedan takes about two to four hours and normally goes home the same day. Keep the windows up for three to five days while the film cures; a light haze in the first week is drying moisture, not a fault. Paint film can go into the same visit, with packages on C-Class PPF.
