What does window tint cost on a Mercedes-Benz GLC?
A GLC SUV uses the SUV rear package: $260 in LLumar ATC covers its rear doors, quarter windows and tailgate. Ceramic film on those GLC panes is quoted as an upgrade, and any roof glass is quoted on top.

Which GLCs have a glass roof, and can it take film?
It depends on the body and the year. The 2024 GLC Coupe launch release says “a panoramic sunroof is fitted standard”, with an opening about 6 cm (2.4 inches) longer than before, and that a standard roller blind can cover it. On the GLC SUV the roof is tied to packages; for 2026 the AMG Lite Plus Package added a Panorama Roof, per Mercedes’s 2026 model line updates.

Is the electric GLC’s roof different?
Yes, and it changes the conversation. The 2027 electric GLC has a one-piece fixed panoramic roof as standard. Mercedes’s launch release says it’s made of heat-insulating laminated safety glass with an infrared-reflecting coating and “an ultra-thin Low-Emissivity (LowE) coating on the inside”.
That inside face is where roof film would go, so ask the shop to look at the roof before you plan film for it. The same release describes optional SKY CONTROL, which switches the glass between clear and opaque in nine zones; the 2027 quick reference guide puts it in the Exclusive trim. With the roof’s coatings already aimed at heat, the side and rear glass are where film has the most to add on this GLC.
Does a GLC already have insulating glass?
Some do. Mercedes-Benz USA lists “Heat and Noise Insulating Glass” among the Pinnacle trim features of the 2023 GLC SUV, and the 2024 GLC Coupe includes it in its Pinnacle package. Neither release says which panes carry it, and neither gives a light-transmission figure.
If those panes are laminated acoustic glass, they still take film on the inner face, as tinting acoustic laminated side glass explains. With no factory number to go on, hold a sample against your own rear glass before choosing a shade, because film darkens whatever the glass already does.
What does BC law mean for a GLC?
Film is allowed at any shade on the rear door windows, quarter glass and tailgate window, and not on the front doors. The windshield can take film only within 75 mm of the top, under MVAR s. 7.05(8).
Outside mirrors on both front doors are what let a GLC’s tailgate glass take film. If you want the front doors done ($140) or a full windshield ($200), the shop can fit it, but the GLC then isn’t road-legal, and a stop can mean a ticket of about $109 plus an order to strip the film and pass an inspection. How do you book GLC tint in Langley?

A GLC is normally a same-day visit, two to four hours for the full job. Its rear windows stay up for three to five days after, and small hazy patches in week one dry out by themselves.
