How much is window tint on a Ram 2500?
On a Crew Cab or Mega Cab, the rear door windows and back glass start at $240 in LLumar ATC. A Regular Cab has only the back window behind the driver, so it’s quoted from the truck.
| Ram 2500 job | Glass | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear package, Crew or Mega Cab | Both rear door windows, back window or slider | $240 |
| Same glass in IRX or AIR ceramic | Rear doors and back window | Quoted per package |
| Regular Cab back window | The back glass only | Quoted per truck |
| Front doors | Driver’s and passenger’s windows | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Windshield, inside face | Full windshield | $200, legal only in the top 75 mm |
Every piece is cut on the plotter for your year and cab, so no blade goes near the glass or the seals, and film and labour both carry a lifetime warranty. If you’re adding the front doors or a roof, ask for the combined price, because bundles usually come in under the list figures added together. Every package for every body style is on the window tint price list.
Which cab is your Ram 2500, and what glass is behind the driver?
The cab sets the pattern. Ram’s 2027 Canadian press kit builds the heavy-duty truck in four configurations:
| 2027 Ram 2500 cab | Box | Glass behind the driver |
|---|---|---|
| Regular Cab | 8 ft | Back window only |
| Crew Cab | 6 ft 4 in or 8 ft | Rear doors and back window |
| Mega Cab, 4x4 only | 6 ft 4 in | Rear doors and back window |
The Mega Cab is the stretched cab, so its rear door glass is a different shape from a Crew Cab’s, and a generic “Ram truck” pattern won’t fit both. Trim matters less than cab for the side glass. Ram’s lineup runs from the Tradesman, Black Express and Warlock through the Big Horn, Rebel, Power Wagon and Laramie to the Limited and Limited Longhorn.
Does the 2500’s back window slide, and is it heated?
That depends on the equipment group, not the badge on the tailgate. The 2027 Canadian feature availability list puts a power sliding rear window on Crew Cabs and a manual slider on Regular Cabs inside the Tradesman Level 1 and Level 2 groups. On the Big Horn, Level 1 brings the rear window defroster for Crew and Mega Cabs only, and Level 2 adds the power slider on those cabs.
Film goes over a defroster grid without harming it, and the slider gets its own piece so it still opens. When old film on heated glass needs removing, steam lifts it instead of a scraper, which keeps the grid intact.
Trucks with the Tow Technology Group carry a cargo-view camera in the centre high-mounted stop lamp. Ram’s 2019 Heavy Duty launch kit describes it as giving a view of the bed for hooking up fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailers, so it looks into the box from outside rather than through the tinted back glass.
Can the Ram 2500 sunroof take film?
Yes, as a separate quote. Ram’s 2027 list offers one roof on the heavy-duty truck: a single-pane power sunroof for Crew and Mega Cabs, optional on the Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn and Limited, and not offered on the Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock or Big Horn. Film for the roof is its own line on the quote, and the sunroof tint page shows how it goes on.
What does BC tint law mean for a heavy-duty pickup?
The rear doors can take any shade, and the back window can too, provided the truck has an outside mirror on both sides. That condition comes from MVAR s. 7.05(8)(c), and a Ram 2500 meets it with its factory trailer tow mirrors, which Ram offers heated, telescoping and power-folding in several equipment groups.
Keep those mirrors whole. Transport Canada recall 2020-472 covered 2,660 trucks in Canada, 2020 Ram 1500 and 2500 models among them, whose driver side mirror glass might not be attached properly; dealers replace the glass. The mirror rule for rear glass explains how inspectors read it.
The front door windows are different. The shop fits film there on request, but no shade is road-legal on them in BC, clear film included, and it can bring a ticket and an order to remove it. The shop walks through that before you choose; front window tint in BC covers the rule in full.
How do you book Ram 2500 tint in Langley?
Send the year, cab, box length and trim, and say whether the back window slides and whether it’s heated. Then pick a film: ATC if privacy at the entry price is the goal, IRX when heat rejection matters most, or AIR to keep the glass looking clear while still cutting heat. LLumar’s spec sheet has ATC rejecting 28 to 44% of total solar energy and IRX 50 to 62%.
Ram publishes no light transmission figure for its glass, and film multiplies with whatever tint is already in it: a 20% film on 20% glass lands near 4%. Most trucks go home the same day, and the windows stay closed for three to five days afterwards. Ask through the truck tint quote form, text 604 534 6433, or compare with the pickup tint packages.
