Toyota Prius Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

A Toyota Prius tint at Brookswood Tint begins at $240, the rear package of five windows in LLumar ATC: both rear doors, the small fixed pane behind each one and the liftback glass. The Prius isn't a standard sedan shape, so the shop confirms the package when it quotes. The Limited's fixed glass roof is priced separately, and front-door film, $140 on request, is not road-legal in BC.

How much does Prius window tint cost?

The five-window rear package is the starting point, at $240 in LLumar ATC dyed film. Those panes in ceramic, IRX or AIR, carry their own package price, and the Limited’s roof glass gets its own number.

Prius job Glass covered From
Rear package, LLumar ATC Both rear doors, the two small fixed panes, the liftback glass $240
The same five in IRX or AIR As above, in ceramic film Quoted per package
Glass roof, Limited only The fixed roof panel Quoted per car
Front doors Driver’s and front passenger’s windows $140, not road-legal in BC
Full windshield, from the inside 1 $200; only the top 75 mm may be filmed legally

Toyota Canada’s 2027 Prius announcement calls it “the sedan that started a revolution”, yet Toyota’s own spec list gives it a back door, power-operated on the Limited, so the rear glass lifts with the hatch instead of sitting above a trunk lid. Since the shop’s posted packages are built around sedans, coupes and SUVs, the Prius’s package is confirmed at the quote. Your price covers LLumar film plotted from a pattern for the car’s model year, hand fitting, and the shop’s lifetime warranty on film and work.

Which Prius windows sit behind the driver?

Five pieces of glass: the two rear door windows, a small fixed pane at the back of each rear door opening, and the window in the liftback. Toyota Canada’s own side views of the 2026 and 2027 car show those small panes clearly, and its 2024 launch release describes the shape around them as a low roofline with rear flares.

That low roofline leaves the Prius with a long, steeply raked back glass, and complex rear glass is the part of any tint job that takes longest. The installer shapes the film with heat against the outer face of the glass until it follows the curve, then transfers it inside and squeegees it in place. The small fixed panes leave little glass to work with, so the plotter’s exact cut matters most there.

Can the Prius Limited’s glass roof be tinted?

Yes, and only the Limited has one. Toyota Canada’s Prius specifications list a fixed glass roof panel with a retractable sunshade on the Limited AWD for both 2026 and 2027; the XLE doesn’t get it. The shade blocks light only while it’s closed; film works on the glass itself, so it keeps working with the shade open.

The roof is quoted separately from the rear package, and panoramic roof tint explains the fitting. A near-clear ceramic like AIR suits owners who want less heat overhead without a darker view of the sky.

What should you check on a Prius before booking tint?

Two things: one recall and one windshield question. Transport Canada recall 2024-228, expanded as 2026-034 to cover 2023 to 2026 cars, says water could leak into the rear door handles and short the door opener switches, so a rear door could open while driving. The remedy is dealer work on the rear door switches, and the 2026 notice also tells owners to turn on automatic door locking in the meantime. If your car is covered, have the recall work done before the tint appointment and say so when you book, since the rear door glass is where the film goes.

On the windshield, every 2027 Prius has rain-sensing wipers and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, per Toyota Canada. BC law confines windshield film to the top 75 mm, so see what the owner’s manual says about the camera area before you ask for even a sun strip. ADAS cameras and windshield tint explains what carmakers say.

What does BC law allow on a Prius?

The rear doors and the small panes behind them can take film at any darkness. The liftback window counts as the rear window under MVAR s. 7.05(8), so it needs an outside mirror on both sides, which the Prius has from the factory.

The two front doors are a different story: BC permits no film at all beside the driver and front passenger, whatever the shade. Getting caught usually means a $109 ticket and can mean an order to peel it off and get the car inspected. If you still want it, the shop fits it after going through that risk with you; BC’s front-window rule has the rest.

How do you book Prius tint in Langley?

Send the model year, the grade (XLE or Limited) and the film you are considering, and whether the Limited’s roof is part of it. You’ll get the rear package figure, the ceramic step-up and, if asked, a roof price.

Expect the usual timing: the whole car in roughly two to four hours, home the same day in most cases. Don’t lower the rear door windows for three to five days, and ignore any slight cloudiness in week one, which dries out on its own. Request a price on the Prius tint quote form, or text the details to the shop on 604 534 6433. Sedans with conventional back glass are covered on the sedan tint page.

Questions about toyota Prius window tint

01Is the Prius priced as a sedan or as a hatchback?

The five-window rear package is the starting point, because the Prius has rear doors, small rear panes and a single back glass. Its liftback glass is steeper than a sedan's, so the shop confirms the package for your model year.

02Are the little windows behind the Prius's rear doors included?

Yes. Those fixed panes count as rear quarter glass, and the package covers them together with the rear doors and the liftback window.

03Does the Prius XLE have the glass roof?

No. Toyota Canada lists the fixed glass roof panel on the Limited only, so an XLE tint job is the side and rear glass alone.
