What decides the price of coating an EV6?
Per car, after a paint inspection. The shop publishes no coating prices; on an EV6 the quote turns on the package, the colour and how much correction the paint needs before the first layer goes on.

Whatever the package, the car is first decontaminated, clayed and machine polished at least once, and paint thickness is measured before any correction. An EV6 stays one to three days depending on the package. Wheel and caliper coating, extra glass coating and interior protection are available as add-ons. Which EV6 colours and trim pieces get coated?
All the painted panels, plus the exterior trim on Signature. Kia Canada’s 2025 EV6 specifications list seven colours, and which ones you could order depends on the trim and package.

The trim changes too. Every 2025 EV6 has a black glossy beltline and high-gloss mirror housings, and the rear spoiler carries the LED high-mounted stop light. The Wind and Land add black door garnish, while the GT-Line packages fit body-colour door and fender garnish instead, so on those cars the lower garnish matches the paint and is prepared and coated along with the panels. Gloss black at eye level shows marring quickly, and Signature is the package that includes trim.
What does Kia’s care advice mean for a coated EV6?
It still applies, and the coating makes it easier to follow. Kia’s exterior care section asks for a thorough wash at least once a month in lukewarm or cold water, never in direct sun or while the body is warm, and without strong soap, chemical detergents or hot water. It also warns that wiping dust off with a dry cloth scratches the finish.
Two notes are particular to the EV6. Kia wants the doors shut and locked before any automatic or high-pressure wash, because that protects the charging door, and it asks for high-pressure spray to stay off the camera, the sensors and their surroundings. Should the EV6’s wheels and windshield be coated?
The wheels, yes; the windshield needs a decision on the GT-Line Limited. Kia’s care notes for the EV6 say its aluminum wheels carry a clear protective finish and should never see abrasive cleaner, polishing compound, solvent or wire brushes, and the shop describes its wheel coating as keeping brake dust from bonding, which means less scrubbing. For glass, the manual’s head-up display precautions say not to tint the windshield or add “other types of metallic coating” to it. On the 2025 lineup, Kia Canada fits the display with the GT-Line Limited package alone. A glass coating isn’t metallic, but if your EV6 has the display, ask the shop to skip the windshield and coat the other glass; glass coating has the detail on what it does.
How do you book a coating for an EV6 in Langley?
Give the shop the year, trim and package, the colour, and whether PPF is on the car or planned; film goes on first and Signature then coats over it, as set out on coating over PPF. The paint is checked and measured, the package priced, and the car booked for one to three days. Keep it out of the rain for 24 hours after pickup.
