Kia EV6 Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

Window tint on a Kia EV6 starts at $260 at Brookswood Tint for every window behind the front doors, back glass included, using LLumar's ATC dyed film, warranted for life. Ceramic IRX or AIR on the same windows is priced per package. The right shade depends on the trim: Kia Canada lists privacy-tinted rear glass on the 2025 Wind and Land, but not on the Light RWD.

What does EV6 window tint cost in Langley?

$260 buys LLumar ATC for everything behind the front doors, using the shop’s SUV and wagon rear package price. Upgrading those windows to IRX or AIR ceramic carries a per-package quote.

EV6 glass From
Rear door windows and back glass, LLumar ATC $260
Those windows in ceramic, IRX or AIR Quoted per package
Wide sunroof (GT-Line packages) Quoted per vehicle
Driver’s and front passenger’s door glass $140, not road-legal in BC
Full windshield, inside face $200, not road-legal in BC

Every piece comes off the plotter already shaped to the EV6’s pattern, so no knife touches the glass or trim, and the film is heat-formed to each pane by hand. The lifetime warranty covers both the film and the installation. If you add ceramic or the roof, ask for one combined figure, because a bundle usually prices below the separate lines. The whole menu is on the window tint pricing page.

Does your EV6 have privacy glass in the back?

That depends on the trim. Kia Canada’s 2025 EV6 specifications list “privacy tinted rear door glass + back glass” on the Wind RWD and Land AWD, and leave it off the Light RWD.

2025 EV6 Rear door and back glass Front door glass Roof glass
Light RWD No privacy glass listed Not listed as laminated None listed
Wind RWD Privacy tinted Solar laminated None listed
Land AWD Privacy tinted Solar laminated None listed
Land AWD with GT-Line or GT-Line Limited package Privacy tinted, solar laminated rear doors Solar laminated Wide single sunroof

That split decides the shade. On a Light, the rear glass starts lighter, so the finished window lands near the figure LLumar measured: ATC 50, for instance, tests at 60% visible light, not 50%. On a Wind or Land, film stacks on glass that is already dark and the two percentages multiply. Kia publishes no transmission figure for this glass, so as a worked example only, a film passing 60% over glass passing 20% would leave about 12%. How dark factory privacy glass is compares the levels carmakers fit.

Every 2025 trim also carries heated back glass on a timer and an acoustic film windshield, according to the same page.

Can the EV6’s wide sunroof and rear glass take ceramic film?

Yes. Kia Canada lists the wide single sunroof with the GT-Line packages, and Kia’s 2024 EV6 manual describes it sliding and tilting from a switch on the overhead console. Roof film is quoted separately from the side windows; the sunroof tint page explains how it’s fitted.

Ceramic is where the heat difference shows. LLumar’s performance data sheet credits IRX with 50 to 62% total solar energy rejection (TSER), where ATC reaches 28 to 44%, and AIR 80 rejects 60% of infrared energy (IRER) while still passing 77% of visible light. What does Kia’s EV6 manual say about windshield film?

Leave it bare. The forward collision camera looks through the windshield, and on the GT-Line Limited a head-up display projects onto it. The detecting-sensor cautions in Kia’s 2024 EV6 manual tell owners never to “tint the front windshield” and never to put accessories or stickers on it.

The manual’s head-up display precautions go further: “Do not tint the front windshield glass or add other types of metallic coating. Otherwise, the Head-Up Display image may be invisible.” Kia Canada lists the display only with the 2025 GT-Line Limited package, but the camera warning covers every EV6. Tinting a windshield with an ADAS camera sets out what carmakers say and why.

Which EV6 windows can you tint under BC law?

The rear doors and the back glass, in any shade. MVAR s. 7.05(8) lets film go on any side window behind the driver, and on the back window as long as there’s an outside mirror on each side, which every 2025 EV6 has.

The front doors are different. On the Wind and Land they are solar laminated glass from Kia, yet they sit beside the driver, so added film of any kind, even a clear one, breaks the rule and fails a BC inspection. The windshield may carry film only in its top 75 mm. If you still want front-door film, the shop fits it once the fine and the inspection order police can issue have been explained, and front window tint in BC covers the law in full.

How do you book EV6 tint in Langley?

Tell the shop the model year, the trim (Light, Wind or Land) and whether a GT-Line package is fitted, since that decides the rear glass and the roof. Name the film you’re leaning toward. You’ll get a figure for the rear package, what ceramic adds, and a roof price where one applies. Plan on two to four hours with a same-day pickup, then avoid lowering the tinted windows for three to five days. Request a price on the EV6 tint quote form, and see EV6 PPF if the front end needs protecting too.

Questions about kia EV6 window tint

01Does the EV6 Light come with tinted back windows?

Kia Canada's 2025 spec page lists privacy-tinted rear door and back glass for the Wind and Land only. A Light RWD may have lighter rear glass, so check it in daylight and pick the shade with that in mind.

02Can film go on the GT-Line's laminated rear door glass?

Yes. The film bonds to the inside surface of the pane, so the laminated layer inside the glass doesn't change how it's fitted or how it performs.

03Will tint stop the EV6's rear window heater from working?

No. The film sits on the inside of the back glass over the heater lines and the grid keeps working. If the film ever comes off, the shop lifts it with steam rather than a blade so the lines aren't cut.

04How long is an EV6 at the shop for tint?

Two to four hours is typical for a full tint, and the car normally goes home that day. After that, don't open the windows for three to five days.
