What does each coating package cover on a Range Rover?
Three packages, each priced for the individual vehicle after a look at its paint. The differences are the number of graphene-ceramic layers, the correction underneath, and how much of the Range Rover beyond its paint gets coated.
| Package | What gets coated on a Range Rover | Layers and groundwork |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | The body paint | One layer on decontaminated paint |
| Performance | Paint, the face of each wheel, the windows | Two layers after a two-stage correction |
| Signature | Paint, any film already fitted, complete wheels, windows, exterior trim | Four layers after full correction |
Price moves with the body you own, since Land Rover builds this model in standard and long wheelbase, the longer one also as a seven-seater. Wheels move it too, and Land Rover lists 21, 22 and 23-inch rims on its Range Rover options page. The full menu, add-ons included, sits on the ceramic coating page.
Which paint finishes does Land Rover sell on the Range Rover?
Three families, and one of them can be satin. For the current model year, Land Rover Canada lists Metallic, Premium Metallic, which uses “a higher concentration of metallic flakes”, and SV Ultra Metallic, offered in “13 distinctive colours, in Satin or Gloss finish”, according to its options page.
Beyond the catalogue, JLR says its Range Rover Bespoke service offers “near-limitless paint colours and finishes”, and the SV page describes a curated palette exclusive to SV. The roof itself can be ordered in body colour or Narvik Black.
For gloss paint, the route is the usual one: decontaminate, measure paint thickness, correct, then coat. In the shop’s view, correction is what gives a coating its depth, and whether a new car needs it is a fair question on a fresh Range Rover too.
How does Land Rover say satin paint should be looked after?
Gently, and without abrasives. Land Rover Canada’s satin matte care page tells owners to hand wash with a soft sponge and light pressure, out of direct sunlight, and to lift bird droppings, tree resin, tar and fuel spots quickly.
It also lists three don’ts: automated car washes, adhesive stickers or films, and polishing or waxing, which it says “can cause a reduction in effect, durability and longevity.” It recommends products formulated for a satin matte finish.
That rules out the machine correction Performance and Signature normally start with. If your Range Rover wears satin SV paint, tell the shop before it’s booked; the approach for flat finishes is set out on coating matte paint, and your retailer can confirm what Land Rover’s paint warranty expects.
Which other Range Rover surfaces can be coated?
Glass, wheels and trim, depending on the package. Performance adds the wheel faces and the glass; Signature adds full wheels and the exterior trim, which on a Range Rover means pieces such as the Atlas-finish grille details and door gill surrounds Land Rover fits in its exterior packages.
A glass coating helps water run off the side windows and the standard sliding panoramic roof, and coating glass explains what it does. If the front of the vehicle already wears paint protection film, Signature coats over it, so film and paint wash up alike.
How do I book a Range Rover coating?
Tell the shop the year, trim and body style, the colour name, and whether that paint is gloss or satin. Clear photos of the hood and doors in daylight help the shop judge how much correction the quote needs.
Expect the Range Rover to stay one to three days, longer correction taking the longer end. Once it’s home, give it 24 hours with no rain or washing. Use the ceramic coating quote form. Questions about satin paint are easier by phone: 604 534 6433. If you want chip protection as well, book Range Rover PPF so the film goes on before the coating.
