Land Rover Range Rover PPF in Langley, BC

At a glance

Range Rover owners pay from $850 here for LLumar Platinum across the nose (the Partial Front); covering the whole body is priced from $4,000, and the Full Front and Track Package sit between; an SUV this size can land above any of those starting figures. The current Range Rover carries cameras at the nose and in the tailgate that the film must leave open. Satin SV paint is a separate case, because Land Rover advises against films on it.

How much is PPF on a Range Rover?

Four LLumar Platinum packages apply, and each price marks where a Range Rover starts rather than where it must finish. Size, the panel shapes on your trim and the state of the paint set the final number.

Package Starting price What it protects on a Range Rover
Partial Front $850 The complete bumper skin, a forward band of hood and fenders, the headlamp lenses, both mirror shells
Full Front $1,550 Hood and both front fenders in full, along with bumper, lenses and mirror shells
Track Package $1,900 Full Front’s panels, then the windshield pillars, a forward strip of roof, the sills below the doors
Full Vehicle $4,000 Each painted panel from nose to tailgate, headlamp lenses included

Platinum heals light swirls in its top coat and comes in gloss or matte. Each template is computer-cut, edges wrap around panel ends where the shape allows, and any relief cut on the Range Rover’s bumper is agreed with you before the film goes on. LLumar’s limited warranty on Platinum runs a decade, and the shop puts four defects in writing: yellowing, cracking, bubbling, peeling. Weigh up coverage with how Partial and Full Front compare.

Where does a Range Rover take the most stone hits?

In the shop’s view, the front face does: an upright bumper, a long flat hood edge and broad headlamps meet whatever the vehicle ahead kicks up. The rocker panels behind the front wheels catch the next share, which is why the Track Package adds them.

The headlamp design varies by trim. Land Rover Canada lists LED headlights with signature DRL on the SE and Pixel LED headlights on the Autobiography, and either type sits inside all four packages. SV models carry an exclusive front grille and bumper, as the Range Rover SV page describes, so say SV when you ask, since that bumper differs from the other trims.

The Track Package also wraps the windshield pillars and a forward strip of roof, for owners who want the film to reach past the front panels.

Which cameras does the film have to leave clear?

Several. Land Rover’s 3D Surround Camera and ClearSight Ground View give “a 360° view of your Range Rover, including the path beneath your wheels,” according to the Range Rover overview page, and a view like that relies on cameras placed around the body.

At the back, the lens lives in the tailgate. Land Rover’s Part 573 recall report 24V947 describes “the rear-facing tailgate mounted camera” on 2022 and 2023 Range Rovers, replaced on 11,961 US vehicles after water got inside. On a Full Vehicle job the tailgate film is cut so that lens stays open, and the same goes for any camera or sensor the front packages reach.

Can satin Range Rover paint take PPF?

Land Rover says no adhesive film should go on it. Its care guide for satin matte paint states that “adhesive stickers, films and magnetic plates can all damage your paint’s protective surface and should never be applied.”

That matters because the Range Rover’s SV Ultra Metallic colours come in satin or gloss. On a satin SV Range Rover, the maker’s advice comes first: ask your retailer about the paint warranty before booking, and tell the shop which finish you have. On gloss paint the picture is different, since LLumar Platinum Matte gives a satin look that can come off later. The wider question is covered under PPF on matte finishes.

How do I book PPF for a Range Rover?

Send the year, trim, body style, colour and finish, plus the package you’re weighing. Photos of existing chips help, since the shop decontaminates the paint and corrects what needs correcting before film goes near it.

Partial Front work generally wraps up in one day. Full Front and Track jobs take one or two, and full-body film three to five. A week before the first wash is the shop’s guidance; LLumar’s FAQ puts the minimum at three days. After that first week, stick to hand or touchless washing, aim pressure-washer wands well clear of the film’s edges, and stay out of brush washes. Ask for a figure with the Range Rover PPF quote form. The shop’s line, 604 534 6433, takes texts too, and Range Rover window tint can follow during the same visit.

Questions about range Rover PPF

01Is a long-wheelbase Range Rover priced higher for full-body film?

It can be. The $4,000 Full Vehicle figure is a starting price, and a longer body has more painted surface to cover, so the quote follows the body style you give.

02Gloss or matte Platinum on a gloss-painted Range Rover?

Gloss keeps the factory shine. Matte Platinum turns gloss paint satin, a look Land Rover otherwise sells as satin SV paint, and the film can be taken off later.

03How many days is a Range Rover in the shop for PPF?

Plan one day for the Partial Front. A Full Front or Track Package needs up to two, and covering every panel needs three to five.

04Will the film interfere with the surround cameras?

The film is cut so the camera lenses stay uncovered. Give the shop your trim and options so the pattern accounts for the cameras your Range Rover actually has.
