What are the PPF prices for a Range Rover Sport?
Four Platinum packages, each a starting figure. A Sport’s final price depends on its trim, which panels it has, and how much the paint needs before film goes down.
| Coverage | Range Rover Sport panels | Starting at |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Bumper complete, the first stretch of hood and fenders, headlamps, mirror backs | $850 |
| Full Front | Hood and fenders to their rear edges, bumper, headlamps, mirror backs | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front coverage with the A-pillars, leading roof edge and rockers added | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All paintwork on the Sport, plus headlamps | $4,000 |
Platinum’s top coat heals light marring with warmth, and it’s sold in gloss or matte. Patterns are cut by software, and the installer wraps edges around panels wherever their shape allows. A bumper sometimes needs a relief cut, and you see where before it’s made. A 10-year LLumar limited warranty applies; the defects the shop’s terms name are peeling, bubbling, cracking and yellowing.
What if the Sport already wears Land Rover’s Satin Protective Film?
Then the paint already wears a factory film, and the quote starts from that. Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport options page describes Satin Protective Film as “an additional layer of protection to the exterior paint” that also creates a satin finish, offered with five exterior colours and included in the Stealth Package.
Bring a Sport with it in so the shop can see the film before quoting anything over or around it. On a gloss Sport without it, LLumar’s Platinum Matte is the aftermarket way to the same flat look, and it comes off later. How the two routes compare is on factory versus aftermarket PPF, and matte PPF covers the film itself.
How should an SV carbon fibre hood be protected?
As a front panel like any other, because it’s still the first surface stones hit. Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport SV page lets SV Carbon buyers “choose between an exposed or painted Carbon Fiber hood”, and the same model takes Forged or Twill carbon finishers on the grille, vents and exhaust tips. The SV Black also carries a carbon fibre hood.
On a painted carbon hood, the film choice follows the paint. On exposed carbon with a glossy finish, Platinum Gloss keeps the weave bright, while Platinum Matte would flatten it to satin. Say which hood your SV has when you ask for a price, and whether you want the carbon finishers covered.
Which parts of the Sport’s front end meet stones first?
In the shop’s view, the lower front corners and the leading edge of the hood, followed by the headlamps and mirror backs. Every package includes the headlamps, which Land Rover Canada’s Sport specifications list as Pixel LED on the Autobiography, with headlight power wash on every model.
Land Rover’s Black Exterior Package names the lower trim at that corner: a lower front splitter and a bumper aperture ingot, finished in Narvik Black on cars that have it. The Sport’s 3D Surround Camera and ClearSight Ground View also show the ground around and under the front of the vehicle, so the front patterns leave the camera lenses open. For daily Highway 1 driving, the rockers in the Track Package catch grit the front wheels fling back.
How do I arrange PPF for a Range Rover Sport?
Tell the shop the model year, trim, colour, and whether the Sport has Satin Protective Film or a carbon hood, along with the package you’re leaning toward. Add photos of any chips, since the paint is cleaned of contamination, and corrected where needed, before any film.
The Partial Front needs roughly a day. Track and Full Front jobs can run into a second day, and film on the entire Sport keeps it three to five days. The first wash should wait a week, per the shop, though LLumar’s FAQ says three days is enough, then keep to hand or touchless washes and away from brush tunnels. Send details through the paint protection quote form or call 604 534 6433; Range Rover Sport window tint can be booked alongside.
