Mercedes-Benz G-Class Ceramic Coating in Langley

At a glance

Brookswood Tint coats a Mercedes-Benz G-Class with a graphene-ceramic coating in one of three packages, from a single layer to four layers over full paint correction, and quotes each G on its paint, size and condition. The paint choice matters on this model: Mercedes sells the G in more than three dozen colours, matte Magno finishes among them, and matte paint isn't machine-polished before it's coated. Plan on one to three days in the shop.

How is a G-Class ceramic coating priced?

Per vehicle, from the package you choose and the paint in front of the shop. No list prices are published, because the correction a coating sits on can be anything from none to several stages.

Package Layers and preparation What the shop coats
Essential One layer Paint
Performance Two layers over a two-stage correction Paint, wheel faces, glass
Signature Four layers over full correction Paint, PPF, wheels, glass, trim

Size counts on a G. The 2025 G 550 quick reference guide gives it a length of 190 inches with the spare wheel, about 4.83 m, and a height of 80.4 inches, about 2.04 m, so there’s a lot of upright panel to correct and coat. Paint thickness is measured before any polishing starts, and the paint correction stage is what moves the price most between packages.

Which paint finishes does Mercedes sell on the G-Class?

Gloss, metallic and matte, across a long list. Mercedes-Benz Canada advertises “more than three dozen paint colours, including gloss, matte and solid MANUFAKTUR hues”; the 2025 G 550 guide counts 30 exterior paints, 18 of them MANUFAKTUR colours.

Matte paint on the G is called Magno. The colours Mercedes has named include MANUFAKTUR South Sea Blue Magno and Moonlight White Magno on the G 580 launch edition, and Brilliant Blue Magno and Cardinal Red Magno added for 2026, when MANUFAKTUR custom-order paint also arrived for some models. On the gloss side, Twilight Blue Metallic was new for 2025. Tell the shop the exact paint name, because it decides which route the coating takes.

Can Magno matte paint on a G-Class be coated?

Yes, but not by the gloss routine. Matte paint is never machine-polished, since polishing would put a shine into it, so a Magno G skips the correction stages the Performance and Signature packages are built on and is quoted on its own. How the shop approaches flat finishes is explained on ceramic coating for matte paint.

Inspect a new Magno G before any coating goes on. Mercedes’s service information LI98.00-P-078306, dated February 2026, covers model 463 from model year 2018 and model 465 from 2024 with matte paint. It describes cloudy white spots or streaks that can appear once the transport protection comes off, most often on the hood, fenders and bumpers and easiest to see on dark colours, caused by moisture trapped under the covering. Mercedes’s remedy is for its own technicians, with repainting as the fallback, so raise any marks with the dealer before the coating seals the surface.

Which G-Class trim should the coating cover?

The bright and black parts as well as the paint. Mercedes builds the G with plenty of exterior hardware that gets the same road grime as the body.

  • Stainless steel: the G 550’s running boards and spare wheel ring come in stainless as standard, according to Mercedes’s March 2024 G 550 announcement.
  • Carbon: the AMG G 63’s carbon package adds carbon-design mirror housings and inserts in the exterior protective trim.
  • Body-colour pieces: the G 63’s spare wheel cover is painted to match, and on the G 580 the grille panel and mirror housings are body colour as standard.
  • Wheels: 19-inch alloys are standard on the G 550, with 18- to 20-inch designs offered.

Wheels have their own coating service, set out on ceramic coating for wheels. List what your G carries when you ask for a quote.

How do you book a G-Class ceramic coating in Langley?

Send the year, the model, the paint name and a few photos of the paint in daylight. If paint protection film is part of the plan, do it first and coat afterwards; the order is explained in which comes first: PPF, ceramic or tint, and G-Class PPF has the packages.

The G stays one to three days depending on the package and the correction. Keep it dry for 24 hours after pickup. Ask for a figure on the ceramic coating request form or call 604 534 6433.

Questions about G-Class ceramic coating

01My new matte G has cloudy white patches. Should I coat over them?

No. Mercedes traces those marks on new Magno-painted G-Class models to moisture trapped under the transport covering and gives its own technicians a fix. Take that to the dealer first, then book the coating.

02Are the stainless running boards and spare wheel ring included?

Trim is part of the Signature package. On the other two, ask for those pieces by name so the quote covers them; wheel and caliper coating is also sold as an add-on.

03Does a G-Class with PPF on the front still need a coating?

It's optional. A coating can go over the film and the rest of the paint at once, which keeps the whole body equally easy to wash.

04How soon can I drive the G in the rain after coating?

Keep it dry for the first 24 hours after you pick it up. Plan the booking around the forecast if you can.
