What do the PPF packages cost on an M4?
The four LLumar Platinum packages run from $850 to $4,000. They’re starting prices: the M4’s vented bumper, gilled fenders and carbon parts take more template work than a plain coupe, so a particular car can come in higher.
| Package | Panels on an M4 | From | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | The vented M4 bumper, a strip across the hood and fender fronts, headlights, mirrors | $850 | Usually one day |
| Full Front | Whole hood, whole front fenders with the gills, front bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 | 1 to 2 days |
| Track Package | Everything in the Full Front, then the A-pillars, the roof’s leading edge and the extended sills | $1,900 | 1 to 2 days |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted panel, headlights included | $4,000 | 3 to 5 days |
Templates for the M4 are cut by software, the self-healing Platinum film is wrapped over panel edges where the M4’s shapes leave room, and on a bumper with this many openings a relief cut may be unavoidable; its position is agreed with you first. Under LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty, the shop names yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling among the covered defects. Whether the bigger packages pay off is weighed on partial versus full front PPF.
Where does a BMW M4 take stone chips?
Across the nose first, then down the flanks. The M4’s front end, as BMW’s 2021 launch release lays it out, is a “large and deep frameless BMW kidney grille” flanked by big cooling intakes, with an Air Curtain slot standing upright at each corner of the bumper. That is a lot of leading edge facing the traffic ahead.
Behind the nose, BMW widened the M4 with flared front fenders carrying the M gills, flared rear wheel arches and extended sills. Whatever the front tires kick up hits those arches and sills next, which is why the Track Package adds the sills. More on that zone is on rocker panel PPF.
Should the M4’s gloss black and carbon parts get film?
They can, and it’s worth deciding before the template is cut. On an M4, BMW finishes the bumper aero parts and the sills in high-gloss black so they read as one dark band wrapping the car, and most M4s also carry a carbon fibre roof.
The special versions add more. The 2025 M4 CS uses carbon for the hood, front splitter, front air intakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser and rear spoiler, and leaves the weave exposed on the roof and in two channels along the hood. The M4 CSL has a carbon hood and trunk lid, and a carbon splitter with red accents and CSL lettering. Tell the shop which of these your car has, and the quote lists each part it will film.
Gloss or matte film on an M4?
Match the film to the paint. BMW launched the current M4 with two Individual Frozen matt colours, Frozen Brilliant White and Frozen Portimao Blue; the CS arrived in Frozen Isle of Man Green, and the CSL offered Frozen Brooklyn Grey. Platinum Matte keeps a Frozen finish flat, while Platinum Gloss suits the metallic and solid colours.
Matte film on gloss paint turns it satin, a change some owners want on purpose. If a 2025 M4 left the factory with the optional red or black graphics on its hood and trunk lid, listed in the 2025 M4 announcement, gloss film keeps them shiny. The finishes are compared on matte PPF.
How do you book PPF for an M4 in Langley?
Send the year, the version (M4, Competition, xDrive, CS or CSL), the paint name and any carbon or graphics options. Before any film goes on an M4, the paint is decontaminated, and corrected where the inspection shows it’s needed.
Plan on a week before the M4’s first wash. After that, an M4 under film is washed by hand or in a touchless bay, never through brushes, with the pressure wand kept clear of the film edges. A ceramic layer can go over the film afterwards; M4 ceramic coating explains the packages. Request a figure through the M4 PPF quote form or ring 604 534 6433.
