What does PPF on a Nissan GT-R cost?
From $850 to $4,000 as a starting price, in self-healing LLumar Platinum with LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty. The shop’s published terms list yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling among what that warranty covers.
| Package | From | Panels on a GT-R |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Front fascia, nose of the hood, tips of the front fenders, headlights, mirrors |
| Full Front | $1,550 | The whole hood and both vented front fenders, with the fascia, headlights and mirrors |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front, then the sill covers, the A-pillars and the front of the roof |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Every painted panel, including the doors, rear fenders, trunk lid, wing and rear bumper |
A GT-R’s vents, ducts and fascia openings add edges, and the final price follows them, along with paint condition. Paint is decontaminated and corrected where needed first. Should a bumper need a relief cut, the shop marks the spot and shows you first.
What are a GT-R’s panels made of?
It depends on the grade. Nissan’s 2024 GT-R specifications list the hood, trunk lid and doors as aluminum and the roof panel as steel, on a body built from “steel, carbon fiber, die-cast aluminum”.
| Grade | What Nissan lists |
|---|---|
| Premium and T-spec (2024) | Aluminum hood, trunk lid and doors; steel roof |
| Premium (2024) | Front “aero-blade” fenders with vents |
| T-spec (2024) | Wider front fenders, black hood ducts |
| NISMO (2024) | Carbon fibre roof, front and rear fascias, trunk lid, rear wing, side sill covers, hood and mirror housings |
| NISMO (2021) | Carbon fibre front fenders with air vents |
| Track Edition (2020) | Carbon fibre roof and the NISMO’s wide front fenders |
Nissan’s 2020 press kit adds that “dry carbon fiber requires specific maintenance” and refers owners to the manual. On a NISMO, tell the shop which carbon parts you have and how they’re finished, and check that manual section, before choosing what gets film.
Where does a GT-R pick up chips?
Across the front fascia, the hood and the fender vents. The 2024 cars got redesigned front fascias, “optimized bumper sides” and a revised grille with a thinner mesh, and Nissan lists vented front fenders on both the Premium and the NISMO, so a lot of edges face the road.
Nissan’s 2021 press kit describes a reinforced hood with “pronounced character lines” flowing from the grille, and a front under spoiler whose curve was “slightly extended and lowered”. The 2024 sheet lists an “anti-chip paint process”, but gravel at highway speed still marks paint. Full Front keeps one sheet across that long hood, so no film edge crosses its middle.
Does a GT-R that goes to the track need more than Full Front?
If it sees lapping days, start from the Track Package. It adds the sill covers under the doors, the A-pillars and the front of the roof, where tire spray and debris land once speeds climb; the shop describes it as the coverage for track days and gravel roads.
LLumar also makes Platinum Extra, its thickest PPF, “made for gravel roads, track racing, and harsh weather”. It isn’t a menu package, so it’s quoted on request. The Track Package page and the track-day prep guide go through the rest.
How do you book GT-R PPF in Langley?
Send the year, grade, colour and the package you want, and list any carbon fibre or aftermarket aero parts. You’ll get a price for that car.
Count on a day for Partial Front, one to two for Full Front or Track, and three to five for Full Vehicle. Hold off washing for a week; afterwards, hand or touchless washes only, with pressure-washer tips kept off the film edges. Request a price through the GT-R PPF form or call 604 534 6433. If a coating will go over the film, see the GT-R ceramic coating page.
