How is a GT-R wrap priced, and how long does it take?
Per car. The colour, the finish and how many parts come off for tucked edges decide the figure, so send the year, grade and colour you want for a price on your GT-R.
| GT-R wrap job | Time in the shop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Full colour change | 3 to 5 days | Quoted per car |
| Roof, hood or wing in a contrast colour | Same day to 2 days | Quoted per car |
| Stripe set | Same day to 2 days | Quoted per car |
Film comes from 3M and Avery Dennison, both cast vinyls, and the vinyl carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the shop’s published terms. Door jambs can be added to a full colour change. Healthy factory paint stays as it was underneath, and the paint and vinyl answer covers when it might not.
Which GT-R colours did Nissan sell, and which only vinyl can give?
Nissan offered solid, pearl, TriCoat and QuadCoat colours, plus a few heritage specials. The 2020 50th Anniversary Edition came in “three heritage-era two-tone exterior color combinations”, per the 2020 press kit.
| Model year | Colour story, per Nissan |
|---|---|
| 2020 | 50th Anniversary Edition in three heritage two-tone schemes |
| 2021 | Bayside Blue QuadCoat joins the Premium, previously only on the 50th Anniversary car |
| 2024 | Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade exclusive to the T-spec; Stealth Gray exclusive to the NISMO |
The 2024 press kit says Bayside Blue was “retired” after the R34 and revived in 2019 for the anniversary car. Nissan’s kits describe no GT-R colour as matte or satin, so those finishes, colour-shift, and a heritage two-tone on any other year are vinyl jobs. The colour change page shows the finishes.
Which GT-R parts change a wrap plan?
The carbon fibre, the trim and the wing. On the NISMO, Nissan’s 2024 press kit lists carbon fibre for nearly every outer panel of the NISMO, from the roof and hood to both fascias, the wing, the sill covers and the mirror housings, and its 2021 press kit describes a “handmade, limited production dry carbon rear spoiler”. Exposed carbon is usually left alone, so say which parts you want kept.
Trim varies by year. The 2020 and 2021 kits describe a V-motion grille with “a matte chrome finish”, the 2024 sheet a dark grey grille and mirrors in body colour “with black lower portion”, while NISMO mirrors are dark with a red stripe. The 2020 kit also describes a silver-finish diffuser and a character line separating the lower black section from the body. Each can be matched, kept or changed; badges, as in the photo, can be blacked out too.
On the Premium and T-spec, the hood, trunk lid and doors are aluminum and the roof is steel, per the 2024 specifications. Vinyl goes on the paint over all of them the same way.
How long does vinyl last on a GT-R?
Longest on the doors and sides, shortest on the hood, roof and wing. 3M puts Canada in Zone 2 on its zone matrix, and its warranty card gives 3M 2080 seven years vertical and two years horizontal there.
The Avery Dennison zone for BC hasn’t been confirmed, so ask before you pick a brand. A garaged GT-R that’s washed by hand keeps its vinyl looking right for longer.
How do you book a GT-R wrap in Langley?
Send the year, grade and current colour, the finish you’re after, and which carbon or trim parts should stay as they are. Mention any chips or repainted panels, because vinyl shows what’s under it.
Request a price through the GT-R wrap form or call 604 534 6433. If you’d also like chip protection on the nose, the GT-R PPF page covers the film packages.
