Nissan Z PPF in Langley, BC

At a glance

Brookswood Tint protects a Nissan Z with LLumar Platinum in four packages: Partial Front starts at $850 and Full Front at $1,550, while the Track Package costs from $1,900 and Full Vehicle from $4,000. The Z's front bumper also houses parts of its pop-up hood safety system, and 2023 and 2024 cars have had two recalls for that bumper, so check that the recall work is done before film goes on.

What does PPF on a Nissan Z cost?

Between $850 and $4,000 to start, in self-healing LLumar Platinum. LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty comes with the film; the shop’s published terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling as covered defects.

Package From On a Nissan Z
Partial Front $850 Bumper and grille surround, hood nose, fender tips, headlights, both mirrors
Full Front $1,550 All of the long hood and both front fenders, plus the bumper, headlights and mirrors
Track Package $1,900 Full Front, then the side sill spoilers, the A-pillars and the front of the roof
Full Vehicle $4,000 Every painted panel, including the doors, the blister rear fenders, the hatch and the rear bumper

These are starting figures. Paint condition, the number of bumper openings and the grade’s aero parts all move the final price. Paint is decontaminated and, if it needs it, corrected before the film is laid.

Why check the Z’s front bumper before PPF goes on?

Because that bumper is part of a safety system, and it has been recalled twice. Nissan fitted the Z with a pop-up engine hood that lifts in a frontal crash with a pedestrian, and the triggers sit in the front end.

Transport Canada recall 2023-583 covers 2023 Z cars whose left-hand front bumper fasteners may not have been tightened properly, so the pop-up hood “may not work correctly”. A later US recall, NHTSA 24V-798, covers 2023 and 2024 cars whose right-side pedestrian detection sensor connectors may be reversed in the front bumper harness; the remedy is a new harness.

Both fixes are dealer work on the bumper. Ask a Nissan dealer whether your car has anything open, and have it done before film goes on the bumper, so nobody disturbs fresh film afterwards. The 2023 press kit also lists front and rear parking sensors as standard, which the bumper patterns allow for.

Which Z year and grade do you have?

It matters, because the front end has changed. The 2024 NISMO press kit describes a “G-Nose” that “extends farther forward than on other grades”, canards at the front corners, a red accent along the bottom of the front fascia, redesigned side sills and a three-piece rear spoiler that runs onto the rear fenders.

For 2027, Nissan’s press kit gives the Sport and Performance a restyled front bumper and grille, with a body-colour bar across the opening and a “Z” emblem in place of the Nissan logo. Performance cars from 2023 on also add a front chin spoiler and rear spoiler. Each of those changes the template, so give the shop your year and grade.

Where does a Nissan Z chip first?

At the nose and down the sides. The 2023 press kit describes a long hood and lists the hood, doors and hatch as aluminum, with side sill spoilers on every car. A long, low hood is the panel that meets grit from traffic ahead, and the sills catch what the front tires throw.

For highway driving, Full Front keeps one sheet across the whole hood; the full front versus full body comparison weighs the next step up. Owners who take a Z on track should look at the Track Package, which adds the sills, pillars and roof edge.

Film suits every Z colour, including the TriCoat whites and reds and the two-tone cars with a Super Black roof. Platinum Matte turns gloss paint satin, so a matte Z needs Full Vehicle for an even finish.

How do you book Z paint protection in Langley?

Send the model year, grade, colour and package, and say whether any recall work is still open. The reply is a price for your car.

Partial Front takes a day. Full Front and the Track Package need one or two, Full Vehicle three to five. Wait seven days before washing, then stick to hand washing or touchless bays and keep the pressure nozzle back from the edges. Ask through the Z PPF quote form or phone 604 534 6433; for the glass, see the Nissan Z window tint page.

Questions about nissan Z PPF

01Does PPF on the Z's bumper affect the pop-up hood?

The film covers the painted face of the bumper; the pedestrian sensors and fasteners named in the recalls are inside it. What matters is that any open recall work is finished first, because that work happens on the bumper.

02Is a Z NISMO priced the same as a Sport?

The packages start at the same figures, but the NISMO's longer nose, front canards and its own side sills make a different pattern, and more edges can move the final price.

03Should the Super Black roof on a two-tone Z get film?

The front section of the roof is in the Track Package; the whole roof comes with Full Vehicle. A black roof shows marks easily, so many owners include it when they choose Full Vehicle.

04How long is a Z off the road for Full Front?

One to two days, as with the Track Package. A Partial Front Z is normally back in a day, while Full Vehicle keeps it three to five.
