How much is PPF on a Porsche Cayenne?

The shop’s four LLumar Platinum packages start at $850 and go to $4,000 for the whole SUV. A Cayenne can land above the starting figure, since a large SUV has more panel area and its nose carries vents and trim the film has to work around.

Package What it covers on a Cayenne From Time in the shop
Partial Front Bumper, the leading part of the hood and front fenders, headlights, mirrors $850 Usually one day
Full Front Whole hood, whole front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors $1,550 1 to 2 days
Track Package Full Front, then A-pillars, a section of roof and the sills $1,900 1 to 2 days
Full Vehicle Every painted surface, plus the headlights $4,000 3 to 5 days

For scale, Porsche’s technical data for the updated Cayenne gives 4,930 mm of length and 1,983 mm of width, or 2,194 mm across the mirrors (EU figures). The film, LLumar Platinum, self-heals and is plotted by software for each panel, and its edges are wrapped round where the panel allows. On bumpers a relief cut is sometimes the only option, and the shop shows you where before it’s made. Platinum Gloss comes with LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty, and the shop’s terms cover yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.

What changed on the Cayenne’s front end in 2023?

Nearly every panel a front package touches. In its 2023 press kit, Porsche says that besides the front end, rear apron and headlights, “the bonnet, wings and tailgate have also been redesigned”.

The details matter for a pattern. The front fenders, which Porsche calls wings, are “now more arched”, the hood between them has “a flatter profile”, and the air intakes grew. Two horizontal black bars with painted inlays now run across the front, and the front light sits in the upper vane. Matrix LED headlights became standard, with HD-Matrix LED as the option. A film template drawn for an older Cayenne won’t follow those shapes, so the model year is the first thing the shop asks for.

On the GTS, Porsche finishes the front apron and a front trim piece in High-Gloss Black and paints the enlarged intakes in body colour, per the GTS press kit. Black trim can be filmed too; say whether you want it included.

How is the Cayenne Electric different under film?

It has a front of its own. The Cayenne Electric press kit describes a low hood with slim Matrix LED headlights and “strongly contoured wings” over the front wheels, part of what Porsche calls a completely new exterior design.

Low on each side of the front sit movable cooling air flaps, almost flush with the skin, and “only the centrally placed radar sensor interrupts them”. Moving flaps and a radar zone are planned before any film is cut, so ask the shop to show how the pattern treats them. The side skirts and wheel arch trims come in Volcanic Grey Metallic on the Cayenne Electric and high-gloss black on the Turbo. The optional Off-Road package switches the aprons, skirts and arch extensions to matte black, and the Sport Design Package adds a high-gloss black front apron.

Gloss or matte film on a Cayenne?

Match the film to the finish you want to keep. Gloss Platinum leaves gloss paint looking as it left the factory; Platinum Matte turns gloss paint satin and keeps a matte surface flat.

That second point applies to the Turbo GT, whose model-specific front end “comes in matt Black”, along with the rear apron and wheel arches, according to the 2023 kit. Gloss film on those parts would add a shine Porsche didn’t put there. The silver Cayenne in the shop’s photo has a matte black hood against silver paint, a mix of finishes that’s worth raising when you book. Both films are compared on matte PPF.

Which Cayenne PPF package should you book?

The Full Front is a sensible floor for a Cayenne driven around the Fraser Valley, because it covers the whole hood and front fenders instead of stopping partway. Choose the Track Package if you spend long days on Highway 1 or gravel, and full-body film if you want every panel covered. Full Front against full-body film sets out the trade-off.

Send the year, the version, the paint colour and any packages (Sport Design, Off-Road, Lightweight). First the shop strips contamination from the paint and corrects any defects that need it. Afterwards, wait seven days before washing; from then on use your hands or a touchless bay rather than brushes, and don’t aim a pressure wand at film edges. Call 604 534 6433 or book through the Cayenne PPF quote form. Tint for the glass can be booked into the same stay; Cayenne window tint has those prices.

Questions about porsche Cayenne PPF

01Will a PPF pattern for a 2021 Cayenne fit a 2024?

Don't count on it. Porsche reshaped the hood, the front fenders and the whole front end for the 2023 update, so the film is cut from a pattern matched to your model year.

02Does the Cayenne Electric need a different front-end pattern?

Yes. It has its own low hood, contoured fenders and a front section with movable cooling flaps around a central radar sensor, so it isn't cut from a combustion Cayenne's pattern.

03Is the Full Front enough on a Cayenne that tows?

For the paint up front, usually. The Track Package's sills and A-pillars add cover where stones from your own tires and the road ahead reach next, which matters more on gravel or long highway runs.

04Can matte film go on a gloss Cayenne?

Yes. Platinum Matte gives gloss paint a satin look, so the whole SUV, or just the hood, can take on a flat look while staying protected.
