What does PPF cost on a Porsche Taycan?
$850 to $4,000 across the four LLumar Platinum packages, as starting prices. A Taycan’s air intakes, any Sport Design parts and the condition of its paint all feed into the final figure.
| Package | From | On a Taycan | In the shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | The bumper, the leading section of the hood and fenders, lights, mirrors | One day as a rule |
| Full Front | $1,550 | The complete hood and both front fenders, plus bumper, headlights and mirrors | 1 to 2 days |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front with the A-pillars, front roof edge and sills | 1 to 2 days |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Paint everywhere, and the headlights | 3 to 5 days |
Platinum’s surface recovers from light marks when it’s warmed, its shapes come from software templates, and its edges fold around a panel wherever there’s room. Should the bumper need a relief cut, the spot is shown to you beforehand. The warranty on Platinum Gloss is LLumar’s 10-year limited one; the shop’s terms spell out yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling as covered defects.
Why does a Taycan’s nose take so many stones?
Because of its shape. Porsche’s 2019 Taycan Turbo press kit puts the car at 1,966 mm wide but only around 1,380 mm high, with the hood sloping down “at a flat angle between the two highly pronounced wings”. That flat hood and the tops of the front fenders face whatever the car ahead throws up, and the wide body puts the sills in the spray from the front tires.
The 2024 update reshaped the front air intakes and gave the Taycan new front wings, according to Porsche’s 2024 press kit. A template drawn for an early car may not match a later one, so the shop asks for the model year as well as the variant. For daily Highway 1 driving, the sills are where a Full Front stops short; the Track Package adds them.
Which Taycan comes with its own stone protection?
The Cross Turismo, when it’s ordered with the Off-road Design package. Porsche Canada says the package adds “special flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills” that “also protect against stone chipping”, on top of the Cross Turismo’s wheel arch trims, separate lower sections and side skirts.
That cladding already shields parts of the lower body, so a Cross Turismo’s film plan concentrates on the painted panels above it. The sports sedan and the Sport Turismo have none of it: Porsche says the Sport Turismo shares the Cross Turismo’s roofline but “foregoes any off-road design elements.” On those two bodies, the painted lower edges face the road bare.
What should film leave alone on a Taycan’s front end?
The moving parts, and the areas the car’s sensors look through. Porsche builds flaps into the Taycan’s cooling air intakes that control the air supply for the cooling and air-conditioning systems and help cool the brakes, and it lists ultrasound, radar and camera systems among the sensors that scan around the car.
Ask to see how the template treats the intake openings and sensor positions on your year before anything is cut. The headlights are in every package, which counts on the updated Taycan that reached dealers from spring 2024: Matrix LED headlights are standard, and the optional HD matrix units carry 32,000 individually controllable micro-LEDs each.
How do you book Taycan PPF in Langley?
Send the year, body, variant and colour, and say whether it has the Sport Design or Off-road Design package. Before the film, the paint gets a decontamination and, if it needs one, a correction.
Leave the car unwashed for its first week with film; after that, only hand or touchless washes, with the pressure wand kept clear of edges. Book through the Taycan PPF quote form or call 604 534 6433. Electric cars have their own page on PPF for electric vehicles, and a coating over the film is set out under Taycan ceramic coating.
