What does Porsche Taycan window tint cost?
$240 in LLumar ATC for a sports sedan’s rear glass, or $260 for the Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo, whose longer roofline and tailgate put them in the wagon package. Ceramic and roof film are quoted separately.

Film for a Taycan is plotter-cut to the year and body before it reaches the car, then heat-formed and squeegeed by hand; at no point is a knife used on the glass or the trim around it. How does the glass differ between the three Taycan bodies?
Each body ends differently behind the front doors. Porsche’s 2024 Taycan press kit lists three: the sports sedan that started the line in 2019, the Cross Turismo from summer 2021 with its “large tailgate”, and the Sport Turismo from spring 2022, which shares the Cross Turismo’s rearward-sloping roof without the off-road trim.
- Sports sedan. A roof that slopes down towards the rear and a drawn-in C-pillar ahead of the back glass.
- Sport Turismo. Porsche describes “the angled rear window with a roof spoiler painted in the exterior colour” in its 2022 launch release.
- Cross Turismo. The roof runs further back than the sedan’s and ends in a fixed spoiler in high-gloss black, and the optional fixed glass roof “extends continuously from the windscreen to the roof spoiler,” per its launch press kit.

Should film go on a Taycan’s glass roof?
Look at what Porsche already built into it first. The panoramic fixed glass roof offered from launch was the first Porsche roof in low-emissivity thermal insulation glass: wafer-thin metal layers reflect long-wave infrared, so Porsche left out a roller blind, and an intermediate layer adds acoustic insulation, according to the 2019 Taycan Turbo press kit.
In 2022 Porsche added a panoramic roof with Light Control, offered first on the Sport Turismo. Liquid crystals in a film switch nine segments between clear and matt, and Porsche’s solar-chamber tests found that only 15% of the heat gets through, against more than 30% with conventional roofs. With that much heat control built in, roof film is a decision to make with the numbers in front of you, and it’s quoted separately once the shop knows which roof you have. What does BC law allow on a Taycan?
Every pane behind the driver can take film of any darkness, back glass included, since every Taycan has outside mirrors on both sides. MVAR s. 7.05(8) keeps the two front door windows clear of film and limits the windshield to a strip within 75 mm of its top edge.
The optional head-up display Porsche lists for the current Taycan also works through the windshield. How do you book Taycan tint in Langley?
Send the model year, the body (sports sedan, Sport Turismo or Cross Turismo) and the roof: solid, fixed glass or Light Control. Name the film and shade you’re considering for the rear glass.
A Taycan is normally done in a day. Don’t lower the rear windows for three to five days, and when you clean the film, use ammonia-free cleaner on a soft microfibre.
