What does PPF cost on a Toyota GR86?
GR86 coverage is sold in four self-healing LLumar Platinum packages under LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty, from $850 to $4,000 as the table shows. Toyota Canada’s GR86 specifications give the car as 4,265 mm long and 1,310 mm tall, a compact body with plenty of curves and openings at the front.
| Package | From | Covers | On a GR86 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Full bumper, partial hood, partial fenders, headlights, side mirrors | The intake-filled bumper, both headlights, the mirrors, the nose of the hood and the fender tips |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlights, side mirrors | Hood and front fenders in full, no film line across the hood |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rocker panels | Adds the sills under the doors, the windshield pillars and the roof’s leading edge |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | All painted surfaces, headlights | Doors, rear fenders, trunk lid and rear bumper too |
Each figure is a starting price, and the final one rises with size, bumper openings and paint condition. Film edges tuck around panel edges wherever possible, and if one of the bumper’s openings forces a relief cut, you’re shown its spot before it’s made.
Where does a GR86 pick up stone chips?
Low and at the front. Toyota lists 130 mm of ground clearance, so the bumper and lower lip ride close to the road and take what the traffic ahead throws back.
Toyota’s GR86 features page names the aero pieces that shape the car: vertical air intakes up front, side air intakes, a side sill spoiler and rear wheel arch fins. Each one adds edges and recesses. Openings in a bumper are where a template needs relief cuts or wrapped edges, which is part of why a bumper’s design shows up in the quote.
Behind the front wheels, grit thrown by the tires travels along the sills, which is the zone the Track Package covers. On 2027 Premium cars, Toyota’s 2027 announcement makes Rear Sonar Warning standard, so a Full Vehicle job has rear sonar sensors to pattern around; give the shop your grade and year.
Does a GR86 that sees the track need more than Full Front?
If it really goes on track, the Track Package is the one built for it. Toyota’s features page describes a Track Mode that dials Vehicle Stability Control back and a Full-Off mode for full control, and Premium cars run 18-inch wheels on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. The shop describes the Track Package’s extra panels as the ones that take abuse on track days and gravel roads.
| Driving | Package to start from |
|---|---|
| Daily road use, mostly city | Partial Front, from $850 |
| Highway kilometres | Full Front, from $1,550 |
| Lapping days and autocross | Track Package, from $1,900 |
| Keeping the whole car original | Full Vehicle, from $4,000 |
LLumar also sells a thicker film, Platinum Extra, and names track racing alongside gravel roads and harsh weather as its intended use; it’s quoted on request rather than as a menu package. The track-day prep guide covers the rest of the preparation.
Gloss or matte film on GR86 colours?
Either works on every GR86 colour. Toyota’s 2027 announcement lists Raven, Track bRed and Halo for the base car, with Pavement, Thunder and TRUENO Blue added on Premium models; Toyota describes Thunder as a solid grey that shifts with the light.
Platinum Matte gives gloss paint a satin face and heals light marks the same way the gloss version does. Satin on only the front leaves the doors and rear in gloss, so a uniform satin GR86 needs Full Vehicle. A sample against your paint settles the choice.
How do you book PPF for a GR86 in Langley?
Fill in the GR86 PPF quote form with the model year, grade, colour, package and finish, or send the same details as a text message to 604 534 6433, and mention any aftermarket aero so the quote matches the car that arrives.
Full Vehicle is the long one at three to five days; Full Front and the Track Package each need a day or two, and Partial Front about one. No washing for the first seven days, and afterwards only hand washes or touchless bays, with the pressure-washer tip held back from the film’s edges. The Track Package page explains that package in more depth.
