What does the Mach-E rear package cost?
$260 in LLumar ATC covers the rear door windows, any glass behind them and the liftgate window. Ceramic film and a glass roof, where the car has one, are quoted on top.

Film is genuine LLumar, cut by plotter for the Mach-E’s year and trim, then heat-shrunk and fitted by hand. LLumar warrants the film for life, and the shop warrants its labour for life. Any package booked with another usually costs less than the two list prices added up.
Glass roof or steel roof: which Mach-E is yours?
Check before you ask about the roof, because Ford has built both. Transport Canada recall 2021-561 covers 2021 Mach-Es whose panoramic roof glass panel “may not be properly attached”, and Ford’s fix was to clean the glass and add adhesive. So some early cars have a glass roof.
For 2026, Ford Canada lists a body-colour steel roof as standard on the Select, with a black-painted steel roof as an option, and the Premium offers a Panoramic Roof Package with a removable sunshade, which Ford flags as new for 2026; the GT offers the same package. The Rally comes with a “Black-Painted Steel Roof”. A steel roof takes no film; a glass one is priced from the car, as the sunroof tint page explains.
Has the 2021 windshield recall been done on your Mach-E?
Worth checking if you want the top strip filmed. Transport Canada recall 2021-560 says certain 2021 Mach-E windshields may not be properly attached, and the repair is for a Ford dealer to remove and reinstall the windshield.

Does tint help an electric SUV in summer?
It keeps the cabin cooler, and that’s the main payoff. The heat rejection comes from the film type: LLumar’s spec sheet gives IRX 50 to 62% total solar energy rejected (TSER) and ATC 28 to 44%, while near-clear AIR 80 rejects 60% of IR energy (IRER).

Can a Mach-E’s front door windows be tinted in BC?
Not legally. Ford’s e-latch doors open with a push-button, but the windows in them are still the ones beside the driver. BC’s rule, MVAR s. 7.05(8), keeps film to glass behind the driver, a back window with mirrors on both sides, and a 75 mm band across the top of the windshield, so even clear AIR on the front doors breaks it.
Inspection item 13d in the 2025 manual fails it, and a ticket can come with an order to remove the film and pass that inspection. The shop fits front film only when asked, and explains the risk first. Front window tint in BC goes through the rule.
