What does window tint cost on a Honda Pilot?
Behind the driver, a Pilot falls under the SUV rear package, $260 to start in LLumar ATC dyed film. That package is written for up to seven windows and a Pilot has five there, so expect the shop to confirm your trim’s price at the quote. Ceramic, in IRX or AIR, is a per-package upgrade.
| Pilot job | Glass covered | From |
|---|---|---|
| SUV rear package, LLumar ATC | Second-row doors, third-row windows, tailgate glass | $260 |
| The same five panes in IRX or AIR | As above, in ceramic film | Quoted per package |
| Panoramic moonroof (TrailSport, Touring, Black Edition) | The roof glass | Quoted per vehicle |
| Front doors | Driver’s and front passenger’s windows | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, from the inside | 1 | $200, legal for the top 75 mm only |
What you pay for: LLumar film, a plotter pattern made for the Pilot so no blade touches the glass, hand fitting, and a lifetime warranty that covers both film and labour. Booking the moonroof or a second service alongside the rear glass normally costs less than the separate list prices, and the shop quotes that bundle on request. The full set of class packages sits on the window tint price list.
Which windows on a Pilot sit behind the driver?
Five panes. Honda Canada’s 360-degree images of the 2026 Pilot show one window in each second-row door, a long window alongside the third row on each side, and the glass in the tailgate. The 2026 specifications list power windows for the front and second row only, so those third-row panes don’t open.
Every trim has a rear wiper and an electric rear window defroster with a timer, and the tailgate film goes on over the defroster lines. From the EX-L up, Honda also lists integrated second-row sunshades; they sit inboard of the glass, so the job is the same.
How dark is a Pilot’s rear glass before tint?
Darker than clear, though Honda gives no figure. The specification sheet lists rear privacy glass on every 2026 trim (Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Black Edition) without a light-transmission number.
Factory tint and film stack, so the shade on the sample board isn’t the shade you’ll see on the car. Over privacy glass, a near-clear ceramic such as LLumar AIR can cut heat while leaving the look much as Honda delivered it, and IRX does the same at a darker shade. If you’re unsure where your glass starts, how dark factory privacy glass is helps you judge it before choosing.
What should Pilot owners know about the windshield and roof?
The windshield carries the Honda Sensing camera, and Honda’s manual is direct about it. The Front Sensor Camera page places the camera behind the rearview mirror and says never to apply a film or attach objects to the windshield that could obstruct its field of vision. BC law only allows windshield film in a 75 mm strip along the top, so read that page before asking for even that much, and see windshield tint with an ADAS camera for the wider picture.
Every 2026 Pilot has acoustic laminated windshield glass and a front wiper de-icer; the Touring and Black Edition add rain-sensing wipers, and the Touring lists a head-up display. The panoramic moonroof, with a power sunshade, is fitted to the TrailSport, Touring and Black Edition. Roof film is quoted on its own; see sunroof and panoramic roof tint for the method.
What does BC law allow on a Pilot?
Any shade is legal on the five panes behind the driver. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), film on the rear window needs an outside mirror on both sides, and Honda fits heated side mirrors to every 2026 Pilot.
The front doors are another matter. Honda Canada’s sheet lists acoustic laminated glass for the “windshield, front” on the Touring and Black Edition, and American Honda’s notes on the 2024 Pilot describe that feature on upper trims as acoustic glass in the front-door windows. Whatever the glass, those windows flank the driver and front passenger, where BC permits no film at all, clear included. A front-tint ticket is $109 in the usual case, per Mission RCMP; on top of that, police can write a Notice & Order that obliges you to remove it and pass an inspection. Film goes on those doors only when the owner asks, after that conversation; the front-window rule has the detail.
How do you book Pilot tint in Langley?
Give the shop your Pilot’s model year and trim, name the film you’re considering, and say if the moonroof is included. Back comes a price for the Pilot’s rear glass, what ceramic would add and, if asked, the roof.
The whole Pilot takes two to four hours and is usually collected the same day. Don’t open the second-row windows for three to five days, since the glue needs that long to set; slight haze in that first week clears as the remaining water evaporates. For SUVs in general, the SUV tint page covers the package in more depth. Requests go through the Pilot tint quote form; a text message to 604 534 6433 does the same.
