What does Grand Cherokee window tint cost?
Under the SUV package, rear glass is tinted from $260 in LLumar ATC, covering the rear doors, any fixed side glass behind them, and the liftgate glass. A Grand Cherokee L has more glass along its sides, so it’s quoted from the SUV in front of the shop.
| Grand Cherokee tint job | Glass | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear package | Rear door windows, the panes behind them, liftgate glass | $260 |
| Rear package in IRX or AIR ceramic | The same glass | Quoted per package |
| Sunroof or panoramic roof | One or both roof panes | Quoted separately |
| Front doors | Driver’s and passenger’s windows | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Windshield, inside face | Full windshield | $200; BC allows only the top 75 mm |
The plotter cuts each piece from the Grand Cherokee’s own pattern for its year, and every piece is then heat-shrunk to the curve by hand, so no blade touches the seals. A lifetime warranty covers both the film and the installation. Adding the roof or other glass to one booking normally costs less than the separate prices combined; the window tint price list shows every package.
Is a Grand Cherokee L tinted differently from the two-row?
Yes, because the glass isn’t the same. Jeep’s 2022 Canadian press kit says the current generation shares one architecture “engineered for both three- and two-rows”, with a “lowered beltline and expansive glass” that let more light into the cabin.
| 2026 model | Wheelbase | Overall length |
|---|---|---|
| Grand Cherokee, two rows | 2,964 mm | 4,914 mm |
| Grand Cherokee L, three rows | 3,091 mm | 5,204 mm |
The L’s extra length goes into a third row, which brings its own side windows behind the rear doors. A pattern cut for one won’t fit the other, which is why the shop asks for the model as well as the year. The L came out first, in 2021, and the two-row followed as a 2022 model.
Which Grand Cherokee trims come with a glass roof or window shades?
That depends on the year and trim. Jeep’s 2025 Canadian feature list sets it out like this:
| 2025 Grand Cherokee | Roof glass | Second-row window shades |
|---|---|---|
| Laredo | Single-pane power sunroof, optional | Not listed |
| Limited | CommandView dual-pane roof, optional | In Lux Tech Group II |
| Overland | CommandView dual-pane roof, standard | In Lux Tech Group IV |
| Summit | CommandView dual-pane roof, standard | In Lux Tech Group V |
The CommandView roof is a power-opening front panel with its own sunshade and a fixed glass panel behind it. For 2026, Jeep Canada lists a single-pane power sunroof on the Laredo X and a dual-pane panoramic roof on the 85th Anniversary Edition, and the 2026 Canadian press kit adds a dual-pane roof to the Limited Reserve and Limited Altitude packages. Roof film is a separate line on the quote, and how roof glass is filmed is covered on the sunroof tint page.
If your Grand Cherokee has the second-row shades, mention them when you book so the installer can plan around them.
What does BC tint law allow on a Grand Cherokee?
Any shade is allowed on the glass behind the driver’s seat, the L’s third-row windows included. MVAR s. 7.05(8) also allows film on the liftgate glass, provided the SUV has exterior mirrors on both sides, and every Grand Cherokee leaves the factory with them.
The two front door windows, and all of the windshield except a 75 mm strip at the top, are different. The shop will fit film there on request, but none of it is road-legal in BC. Even clear film breaks the rule, and police can ticket it, order it off and send the SUV for inspection. The shop explains this before anything is decided; the front-window answer sets out the full rule, and for the windshield strip, read about windshield film and ADAS cameras first.
How do you book Grand Cherokee tint in Langley?
Say which model year and body you have, two-row or L, plus the trim, any packages, and whether there’s a roof panel. Jeep’s Canadian documents don’t give a light transmission figure for the factory glass, and film darkens on top of whatever the glass already carries: 20% over 20% works out near 4%. So the shop looks at your rear glass before you settle on a shade.
ATC gives privacy at the starting price. IRX rejects the most heat of the three: LLumar’s spec sheet rates it between 50 and 62% of total solar energy rejected (TSER), where ATC manages 28 to 44%. AIR 80 measures 77% visible light transmission with 60% IR energy rejection (IRER), so it cuts heat while looking almost clear. The whole SUV usually takes two to four hours, and most are ready the same day. Don’t lower the side windows for three to five days while the film cures. To book, use the tint quote form or text 604 534 6433; other SUVs are covered on the SUV tint page.
