Kia Carnival Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

Brookswood Tint tints a Kia Carnival's sliding-door windows, the side glass behind them and the liftgate window from $260 in LLumar ATC. Kia Canada fits privacy tinted side and rear glass to every 2026 Carnival trim, so the film stacks on glass that's already dark. Front-door film is $140 on request and isn't road-legal in BC, and Kia's manual says never to tint the windshield.

Which Carnival glass is in the $260 van price?

All the glass behind the front doors: the windows in both sliding doors, the side glass behind them and the liftgate window, in LLumar ATC from $260. Swap in IRX or AIR ceramic and the shop prices that package separately.

Carnival job Glass From
Van rear package, LLumar ATC Sliding-door windows, rear side glass, liftgate $260
IRX or AIR ceramic The same glass Quoted per package
Dual sunroof, SX and SX+ Both roof panels Quoted per vehicle
Front door windows Driver’s and front passenger’s $140, not road-legal in BC
Full windshield, from the inside 1 $200, against Kia’s advice; top 75 mm legal only

The film is plotter-cut to the Carnival’s own pattern, so no blade goes near the glass or the sliding-door seals, and it carries a lifetime warranty on film and workmanship. The minivan window tint page covers the class as a whole.

How much privacy glass does a Carnival already have?

All of the glass behind the front doors. Kia Canada’s 2026 Carnival specifications list “privacy tinted side & rear glass” on the LX, LX+, EX, EX+, SX and SX+, along with a solar laminated windshield, with no light-transmission figure.

That matters when choosing a shade, because film and glass multiply. Lay 20% film on 20% glass and about 4% of the light gets through, which is very dark for a family van. If you like the factory look, near-clear AIR or a light IRX adds heat rejection without much extra darkness; how dark factory privacy glass is helps you judge where your glass starts.

What does Kia say about tinting the Carnival’s windshield?

Don’t. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist section of the 2025 Carnival owner’s manual says: “Never install any accessories or stickers on the front windshield, or tint the front windshield.” The front camera that system relies on looks out through that glass.

BC law already restricts the windshield to a strip no deeper than 75 mm from the top, and on a Carnival the maker’s instruction goes further. The shop can still fit a full windshield on request, at $200, but on this van it runs against both the law below that line and Kia’s own manual, so talk it through before booking. Read windshield tint with an ADAS camera for how other makers word the same warning.

Which Carnival trims have laminated front doors or a dual sunroof?

From the EX+ up for the laminated doors, and the SX and SX+ for the roof. The 2026 Canadian equipment list breaks down like this:

2026 Carnival LX LX+ EX EX+ SX SX+
Privacy tinted side and rear glass Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Power sliding doors No Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Solar laminated front door glass No No No Yes Yes Yes
Dual sunroof, dual power opening No No No No Yes Yes

The dual sunroof has separate front and rear switches and two glass panels, so roof film is quoted for the pair.

No, not on either front door window, laminated or not. MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows film behind the driver at any shade and on the rear window when both outside mirrors are present, which every Carnival has. The laminated front door glass on an EX+ or SX is still the driver’s and passenger’s side glass.

The shop will fit the $140 front-door job if you ask, once you know a ticket and an order to remove the film are both possible. Why BC bans front-door film is set out in a separate answer.

How do you book Carnival tint in Langley?

Send the year and trim, whether the dual sunroof is part of the job, and the film you’re considering. Vans take longer than sedans and SUVs, so allow more of the day.

Keep every window up for three to five days afterwards. The driver’s power window lock helps here: the Windows section of Kia’s manual says it can block the rear passenger windows. Questions about kia Carnival window tint

01Can kids open the Carnival's rear windows while the film cures?

They can, so switch on the driver's power window lock. Kia's manual says it blocks the rear passenger windows, and on a Carnival with the dual sunroof it disables the rear sunroof switch as well.

02Do the power sliding doors affect the tint?

No. The film is on the glass, not the door mechanism, so the sliding doors open and close as normal. Only the windows themselves stay shut for the first few days.

03Does a Carnival cost more than an SUV to tint?

Not at the starting price: its rear glass uses the same $260 package as SUVs and wagons. Vans do take longer in the bay, so allow more of the day.
