Subaru Forester Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

A Subaru Forester is tinted on the shop's SUV rear package at Brookswood Tint: from $260 in LLumar ATC for the rear doors, cargo-area windows and hatch, while IRX or AIR ceramic is priced as an upgrade for each package. Subaru Canada fits privacy glass to the rear and cargo windows of every 2026 trim. The windshield is the part to leave alone: EyeSight's cameras look through it, and BC permits film only in a 75 mm band along its top edge.

What does Forester window tint cost?

Every window behind a Forester’s front doors starts at $260 in LLumar ATC dyed film: both rear doors, the cargo-area side windows and the hatch. Ceramic upgrades get their own package price, and the sunroof gets a separate quote.

What glass does the 2026 Forester come with?

Subaru Canada calls the 2026 Forester the sixth generation, and its spec sheet lists the glass by trim. Most of it is standard across all six.

2026 Forester Convenience Touring, Sport, Limited, Premier, Hybrid Premier
Privacy glass, rear and cargo windows Yes Yes
Laminated UV-protection windshield Yes Yes
Windshield wiper de-icer Yes Yes
Rear wiper with washer Yes Yes
Rear defogger with timer Yes Yes
Power-sliding sunroof with sunshade (large) No Yes

The privacy glass means the back half of the car is already darker than the front. Subaru doesn’t publish how dark, and film multiplies with it: 20% film over 20% glass comes out near 4%. Look at the glass in daylight before choosing; the comparison of film and factory privacy glass explains what each layer does. Subaru also fits a wiper and a defogger to the rear window. The answer on tinting over defroster lines explains how film sits over the grid, and should it ever need removing, steam does the work instead of a blade, so the grid survives.

How does EyeSight affect windshield tint on a Forester?

It’s the reason to be careful with the windshield. EyeSight is standard on every 2026 Forester, and this generation adds a wide-angle mono camera. Subaru Canada describes the system as watching the road with as many as three cameras, the number depending on model and year.

Subaru has set out windshield rules for EyeSight since at least 2013. Its service bulletin 06-45-13R for the 2014 Forester reprints the EyeSight manual’s windshield precautions: prohibited grey zones on the windshield “where items or stickers must never be placed”, a warning that reflections can affect the stereo camera, and a rule that water-repellent windshield coatings “must never be used”. That bulletin covers an older generation, so check the EyeSight section of your own manual for the current wording. Other carmakers’ versions of this warning are compared in windshield tint and driver-assist cameras.

Can the Forester’s sunroof be tinted?

Yes, from the Touring upward, the trims Subaru gives a large power-sliding sunroof with a manual sunshade. Each roof is priced on its own. With the shade pulled back, film trims the heat and glare coming through, and near-clear AIR does it without darkening the view up. Measuring and fitting roof glass is explained on the sunroof and panoramic roof page.

What does BC law allow on a Forester?

The rear doors, cargo windows and hatch can take any shade, the hatch because a Forester has outside mirrors left and right. MVAR s. 7.05(8) keeps film off the front door glass completely and limits the windshield to its top 75 mm. On a Forester, check the manual’s EyeSight zones before asking for even that strip. Tickets, orders and inspections are explained in BC’s rules on front-window film.

How do you book Forester tint in Langley?

Send the year and trim; the trim settles whether there’s a sunroof to quote. Plan on two to four hours, and the car usually goes home that day. For three to five days after, the windows stay closed; from then on, clean the inside of the glass with soft microfibre and an ammonia-free cleaner. The Forester tint quote form takes the details, or text them to the shop’s number, 604 534 6433.

Questions about forester window tint

01Can a tint strip go across the top of a Forester's windshield?

BC allows film in the top 75 mm, but EyeSight's cameras look out through the windshield and Subaru marks zones around them where nothing may be stuck. Read the EyeSight section of your model year's manual before asking for a strip.

02Does the base Forester Convenience have privacy glass?

Yes. Subaru Canada lists privacy tinted glass on the rear and cargo-area windows of every 2026 trim, from the Convenience to the Hybrid Premier.

03Is the Forester Hybrid tinted any differently?

No. The 2026 Hybrid Premier has the same glass list as the gas Premier, including the sunroof and the privacy glass, so it's priced on the same package.

04Can I wash the Forester's windows the week after tinting?

The outside, yes. Don't clean the inside of the filmed glass or open those windows until three to five days have passed.
