Toyota Sequoia Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

Brookswood Tint tints a Toyota Sequoia's rear glass from $260 in LLumar ATC, the full-size SUV package: both rear door windows, the side glass alongside the third row and the liftgate window. Toyota Canada fits rear privacy glass to every 2026 grade, so the film darkens glass that is already tinted. The two front doors, $160 if you ask for them, are not road-legal in BC.

Which Sequoia windows does the $260 rear package cover?

Every pane behind the front doors. On a Sequoia that means the second-row door windows, the long side glass beside the third row and the liftgate window, from $260 in LLumar ATC dyed film, with IRX or AIR ceramic quoted for the same glass.

IRX or AIR ceramic The same glass Quoted per package
Moonroof, panoramic or slide-and-tilt Roof glass Quoted per vehicle
Front door windows Driver’s and front passenger’s $160, not road-legal in BC

Each piece is cut on the plotter from the Sequoia’s own pattern, so no knife touches the glass or the door seals, then shrunk to the curve with heat and squeegeed by hand. The lifetime warranty covers the film and the labour. Adding the roof or a second service to the same visit usually lowers the total compared with list prices, and the window tint price list sets every class package side by side.

How dark is the Sequoia’s glass before film goes on?

Darker than clear, though Toyota publishes no percentage. The 2026 Sequoia product summary for BC lists rear side window privacy glass, an acoustic windshield and an electric rear window defroster on all four grades: SR5 TRD Off Road, Limited, Platinum and Capstone.

Because film multiplies with the tint already in the glass, a sample held up in the shop can mislead you. Put 20% film over 20% privacy glass and roughly 4% of visible light gets through, far darker than either number. If you like the factory look but want less heat, ask about LLumar AIR 80, which LLumar’s spec sheet rates at 77% visible light and 60% infrared energy rejection (IRER). To judge your own starting point, read how dark factory privacy glass is.

The liftgate film goes on over the defroster lines, and the grid keeps heating through it.

Does the Sequoia’s roof glass change the quote?

Only if you want the roof filmed, since roof glass is priced apart from the rear package. Toyota Canada’s 2026 summary puts a panoramic moonroof on the Limited, Platinum and Capstone as standard and a power slide-and-tilt moonroof on the SR5 TRD Off Road.

Toyota’s US launch release for the third-generation 2023 Sequoia also gives the Limited manual sunshades for the second and third rows. Those shades hang on the cabin side of the glass, so film and shade simply stack. How roof film is fitted and what drives its price are covered on the sunroof and panoramic roof tint page.

Why does the Capstone’s front glass matter in BC?

Acoustic glass is still front side glass. The same Toyota release says the Capstone “is the only Sequoia grade to feature acoustic glass in the front doors”, and the 2026 BC summary still lists front side acoustic glass on that grade alone.

MVAR s. 7.05(8) permits film on the top 75 mm of the windshield, on side windows behind the driver, and on the rear window of a vehicle with outside mirrors on both sides. Every 2026 Sequoia has heated power mirrors left and right, so the liftgate can carry any shade. The front doors can’t carry film on any grade, clear film included. If you still want them done, the $160 job happens only after the shop has walked you through the risk: a tint ticket typically runs $109 according to Mission RCMP, and police can order the film off and the SUV inspected. What should you tell the shop when booking a Sequoia?

Give the model year and grade, say whether the moonroof is part of the job, and name the film you’re leaning toward. On a Sequoia the grade decides the roof type and the front glass, so it changes the quote.

Expect two to four hours for the rear glass, with most SUVs collected the same day. Keep the side windows up for three to five days while the adhesive cures; light haze in the first week is normal and clears. Comparing full-size SUVs? The Chevrolet Tahoe tint page covers a close rival, and the Toyota vehicle hub lists the brand’s other models. Ask for a price on the Sequoia tint quote form, or text the details to 604 534 6433.

Questions about toyota Sequoia window tint

01Is a Sequoia priced as a full-size SUV or a mid-size one?

As a full-size SUV. The rear glass starts at $260 in LLumar ATC, and the front-door rate for a full-size SUV is $160, a job the shop only does on request because BC doesn't allow it.

02Can the Sequoia's third-row glass go darker than the second row?

Yes. BC sets no darkness limit on windows behind the driver, so each row can take its own shade. Say which mix you want and the quote will reflect it.

03Does the Sequoia's power liftgate need anything special for tint?

No. The film is fitted to the inside face of the liftgate glass and trimmed to its edges, so the powered gate opens and closes exactly as it did before.

04Will rear tint interfere with Toyota Safety Sense?

No. The forward-facing camera looks out through the windshield, so only windshield film could come near it. Check where your camera sits before asking for a sun strip.
