How much is window tint for a Toyota Tundra?
In LLumar ATC dyed film, the Tundra’s rear glass is $240 to start. That price covers the glass in both rear doors plus the back window, and it is the starting point for the Double Cab and the CrewMax alike. Ceramic film costs more: IRX or AIR on that glass has its own package price.
| Tundra job | Glass covered | From |
|---|---|---|
| Pickup rear package, LLumar ATC | Rear door windows and the back window | $240 |
| The same glass in IRX or AIR | Rear door windows and the back window | Quoted per package |
| Panoramic moonroof (Limited, Platinum, Capstone) | Roof glass | Quoted per truck |
| Front doors | Driver’s and front passenger’s windows | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, from the inside | 1 | $200, but only the top 75 mm is legal |
Every figure includes LLumar film plotted from the pattern for your year, cab and model, shaped with heat and laid by hand, plus a lifetime warranty that covers film and workmanship together. Pair the tint with the roof or another service and the combined quote usually lands below the separate list prices. The window tint price list shows every class package.
Which back window does your Tundra have?
That comes down to the cab. Toyota Canada’s 2026 Tundra specifications list two different power rear windows, and every grade has an electric rear window defroster.
| 2026 Tundra | Back window in Toyota’s list | Rear defroster |
|---|---|---|
| Double Cab (SR and SR5 models) | Power sliding rear window | Yes |
| CrewMax (SR through Capstone) | Power vertical sliding rear window | Yes |
On the CrewMax the glass travels down rather than sideways, so the film covers one large pane that moves. On either cab, keep the back window closed, like the door glass, for three to five days once the film is on, so the adhesive cures before anything slides.
The defroster grid matters only if the window is ever re-tinted: the old film on that heated glass gets steamed off instead of scraped, the tint removal method, so the heating lines survive.
How dark is a Tundra’s rear glass before film goes on?
Darker than clear, though Toyota doesn’t say by how much. Its 2026 list shows rear side window privacy glass on every Tundra from the SR 4x2 to the Capstone, with no light-transmission figure attached.
Film and factory tint multiply. LLumar’s spec sheet measures IRX 35 at 39% visible light on clear test glass, and laid over a pane passing, for example, 20%, the window ends up near 8%. So a shade that looks moderate on a sample board can turn out far darker on the rear doors. Toyota names the rear side windows only, so judge the back window by itself before picking one shade for everything. How dark factory privacy glass is walks through the arithmetic.
| LLumar film | Shades the shop sells | Total solar energy rejected |
|---|---|---|
| ATC, dyed | 5, 15, 35, 50% | 28–44% |
| IRX, ceramic | 5, 15, 35, 50% | 50–62% |
| AIR, near-clear ceramic | 70, 80, 90% | 43% (AIR 80) |
AIR keeps the factory look with less heat; IRX does the same at any darkness.
Which Tundra grades add a glass roof or laminated glass?
The upper ones. Toyota Canada lists a panoramic moonroof on the CrewMax Limited, Platinum and Capstone. That roof glass sits outside the rear package and is quoted separately; the panoramic roof tint page explains how it is priced and fitted.
The Capstone is the only grade Toyota lists with front side laminated glass, and Toyota Canada’s 2026 Tundra announcement names sound-deadening acoustic glass among that grade’s features. Those laminated panes are in the front doors, so BC’s rule settles them before the glass type matters. For what film does on that kind of glass, read about tinting acoustic laminated side glass.
What does BC law allow on a Tundra?
BC lets you film the Tundra’s rear door glass at any shade, and its back window too once there’s an outside mirror on both doors. MVAR s. 7.05(8) treats a pickup’s back window as its rear window, sliding or not. Every 2026 Tundra has power-adjustable heated mirrors on both doors, and the extendable towing mirrors on some packages are outside mirrors as well.
The front doors are different. On both cabs they sit beside the driver and front passenger, where BC allows no film of any shade, clear included. Mission RCMP gives $109 as the usual fine for it, and on top of the fine, an officer may order the film stripped and the Tundra sent for a full inspection. Front-door film is fitted solely at an owner’s request, once those consequences have been walked through; the rule on front windows has the detail.
How do you book Tundra tint in Langley?
Send the model year, cab, bed length and grade, plus the film you are leaning towards, and mention a moonroof if the truck has one. You get back three numbers: the rear package, the step up to ceramic and the moonroof.
Expect two to four hours on the whole truck, with most leaving the day they come in. Afterwards, every window that opens, the back one included, stays closed for three to five days; if you see a faint haze during week one, it’s moisture leaving. Booking is through the Tundra tint quote form, or text the cab, grade and year to the shop at 604 534 6433.
